Definitely an enigma.
You probably watched him a lot more than I did. Did you get the impression that he really didn't like playing that much? He seemed totally joyless to me.

wore his emotions on his sleeve a lil too much for me..wish he was more reserved like Hansbrough. Kid seemed bi-polar to me and didn't like being told what to do alot of times..he was in and out of the doghouse alot.

I'm friendly with Calipari and Huggins, and a fan of their teams, so I can't rip anyone for wearing their emotions on their sleeves. My problem with McCants was that he always seemed angry. For example, Nick Van Exel appeared pi$$ed off a lot, but he also showed some joy for the game as well. McCants just struck me as a chronic malcontent.

After more research, I have limited the numbers again.

Alabama(3)-
Jermareo Davidson PF
Ronald Steele PG
Richard Hendrix PF

Arkansas(1)-
Ronnie Brewer SG

Florida(1)-
Al Horford PF

Kentucky(1)-
Rajon Rondo PG

LSU(2)-
Darrel Mitchell SG
Tyrus Thomas PF

The biggest chances, IMO, are Tyrus Thomas, Rajon Rondo, and Ronnie Brewer. The smallest chance, IMO, is Darrel Mitchell. Horford and the UAT trio are ?s to me right now.

Hopefully all of these guys will look at what happened to the SEC early entries last year and decide to stay. As for LSU players, D. Mitchell is the only SR. on the team. Davis has already had his free look at the NBA, if he looks again he has to go. Thomas has a lot of talent and can jump like a kangaroo but needs to add about 30 lbs.

Thomas has a high ankle sprain after the KY game yesterday and missed most of the 2nd half. Might not see him play agina until tourny time.

Mitchell is listed as a JR by CBS. As for Thomas, he gained about 30 pounds during his RS year and is projected to be a top 5-10 pick. He will likely be gone. R Brewer, Thomas, and Rondo are all projected to go early, as is Horford. If Horford is as tight with his teammates as previously noted, he will stay. If not, we have 4 high drafted underclassmen.

Must be a typo by CBS. In that case.....

Alabama(3)-
Jermareo Davidson PF
Ronald Steele PG
Richard Hendrix PF

Arkansas(1)-
Ronnie Brewer SG

Florida(1)-
Al Horford PF

Kentucky(1)-
Rajon Rondo PG

LSU(1)-
Tyrus Thomas PF

Of the 3 from Bama, my guess is that Davidson would be the quickest to jump. Hendrix is only a freshman and Steele may be overshadowed by other PGs.

Don't look for Horford to leave Florida till after next year. I know Al and his dad Tito. He is on pace to graduate his junior year and needs another year to develop. I'm not saying this is set in stone, but it would greatly surprise me if he comes out. I know his dad wants him to stay another year at least. You Florida guys shouldn't have much to worry about.

I don't think anyone from Florida will come out early. Noah is the only one I would worry about if I were a Florida fan. He has really come on this last half of the year, but if he is smart he will stay and mature for one more year. It is silly in my opinion for these kids to come out early in basketball simply for the reason you don't have a high risk of career ending injury like football. It would do so much for their game as well.

Yea, money does talk. I do believe these guys shouldn't leave before their junior year, but I've also never had someone dangling millions in front of my face either. That is definitely easier said than done.

Yup, if I was in their position, since I'm their age, I'd probably jump as soon as the $$$ were flashing.

Rondo leaving will be a huge mistake. he needs some time to learn to shoot. if he tries it out he will go undrafted.

there aint no way he would go undrafted. that might be one of the stupidest things i have ever heard he is predicted to go in the top 10.
