SEC vs Big 10

UF has played to the level of it's competition all yr..dont expect this game to be any different...I love hearing how UF has now chance
Play like you did againts us and LSU and you will be fine. You front four are better than theirs is and get that D fired up.

Can someone please compile a list of the conference bowl records for say the last 15 years? Or show me where to find it.

I'm pretty sure the SEC has been the dominant conference has been the SEC.

That should settle this.

From 1991-2005, the SEC is 55-41. Not domination, but good. However, the last half of that, from 1998-2005, the SEC is 31-28.

He cited 35 games. Sample of 30 or above is an adequate sample.

Show me 30 games from the same two teams on that list. I wasn't replying to the list, I was replying to YOUR specific quote.

Allvol's stats are good up there. No argument there.

I was not arguing 2 teams, I was going off the thread and posts of SEC v. Big Ten. My specific quote was following a chain of conversation in the thread, sorry if I was not clearer on it.

You said 2 teams meeting on a field was better than subjective analysis. While that may be the case for a football game, all I'm saying is 1 game between two teams is not a big enough sample size to see who is better in a season.

Anyway, the SEC has fared better than Big 10 in H2H match ups in bowl games. That's good.

How many national titles does each conference have from 1991-now? Just curious, because I haven't looked it up.

I'm pretty sure the Big East won 1 title when Miami was there. Plus, that adds up to 17. Did you count USC and LSU as both title winners? If so, I would have to.

I counted LSU and USC as both winners and Miami/Washington and Michigan/Nebraska

I didn't know that living in Toledo was a qualifier for this debate. Interesting.

I have watched plenty of Michigan and Tosu games this season. To say they struggled with a lot of opponents is laughable. They struggled to beat people by 30?

I have some pretty interesting data to shed light on this whole conference strength thing. Here are the Top 25 strength of schedules in terms of opponents winning percentage:

Now, here is a list of strength of schedule based on opponents opponents (yes, opponents should be there twice) winning percentage:

I am not exactly sure what these lists prove, other than there is very little evidence out there that objectively points out the SEC as the toughest conference.

yeah it does buddy just like someone living in cali is going to get to watch more pac-10 games then B-10, but its hard telling people stuff on here, we have a bunch people who know everything. MICHIGAN STRUGGLED AGAINST BALL STATE, THEY STRUGGLED AGAINST VANDY UNTILL MID 3rd QT. TOSU WAS KILLING EM up untill end of third and they made a run for their money. THEY DO NO DESERVE TO BE IN THE NT GAME NOR WOULD THEY GO UNDEFEATED IN THE SEC. :salute: 09/02 Vanderbilt W 27-7
09/09 C Michigan W 41-17
09/16 at #2 N Dame W 47-21
09/23 Wisconsin W 27-13
09/30 at Minnesota W 28-14
10/07 Mich St W 31-13
10/14 at Penn State W 17-10
10/21 Iowa W 20-6
10/28 N'western W 17-3
11/04 Ball St W 34-26
