Meh... His Washington pick was weak. He admittedly picked them for no reason. Oh, and Stanford would get taken to the shed by Florida.

Standford would murder Florida. Easily

Let's play the speculation game. Why weren't Georgia and Colorado included?

Alabama v. Oregon: Alabama
Stanford v. Florida: Stanford
Auburn v. Utah: Toss-up, leaning Auburn
Arizona v. LSU: Arizona
Arkansas v. USC: Arkansas
UCLA v. South Carolina: South Carolina
Kentucky v. Arizona St.: ASU
Cal v. Miss St.: Cal
Ole Miss v. Oregon St.: OSU
Washington v. Tennessee: Washington
Washington St. v. Vandy: Toss-up, leaning Vandy
Georgia v. Colorado-Georgia

That puts it at 6-6.

We may be down, but I think we'd handle Washington. Please.

No they wouldn't. The last time they faced a struggling OOC opponent, they lost to a 7-5 Oklahoma team in a bowl game last season.

They're overrated, and would get ran off the field.

I suspect Jake Locker would have a field day with our defense. We could score a few td's on them, but not enough to keep up.

Well find out how they handle oregons offense. If they win at Autzen tomorrow then you can be damned sure they could stay on the field with Florida anywhere outside of the swamp.

Perhaps, but I fully expect the Ducks to run Stanford off the field. That is, if they fix their defensive issues.

But I'd love to see a Stanford vs. Florida match up. I see flashes of the 09 Sugar Bowl.(I don't have much faith in Stanford yet. They have to show me a little more)

And I see a Florida vs. Oregon match up ending much like the 08 National Championship game give or take a TD or two. Depends on if Oregon's defense decided to show up.

they would have won that game easily if luck played.

but i tend to agree with you. stanford's speed on defense is pretty horrible. florida would exploit that.

Oklahoma played without their #1 draft pick QB. :ermm:

yes but one qb was playing the entire year and playing fairly well. the other only saw time in the bowl game.

Even so. I don't understand how it's fair to say one of the teams would've won if they'd played with their star QB, when their opponent didn't have their star either.

Because Oklahoma had a highly touted backup who had been gaining game experience since mid-season.

Andrew Luck's backup is a scrub from Tacoma who was proven the two prior seasons to be a garbage QB.

then i'd suggest saying they couldn't beat a 7-5 oklahoma team doesn't make a whole lot of sense in favor of your argument. if you think the situations are similar surely you'd think with bradford they would ahve won a lot more games?

Couldn't make much sense of that.

I think with Bradford they'd have won a few more games and added a few more TD's against Stanford.

"The last time they faced a struggling OOC opponent, they lost to a 7-5 Oklahoma team in a bowl game last season."

You can't both argue that they aren't very good because they lost to a "struggling" oklahoma team and also argue that it wasn't relavant that luck didn't play because bradford didn't play either. in other words, since you are arguing the difference between jones and bradford is the same as the difference between pritchard and luck than you surely must think that oklahoma wouldn't have "struggled" if bridgeford had remained healthy.

My point is this.

It's kind of faulty to say, "Stanford would have won if they had Andrew Luck", as if Oklahoma was playing at full power and there wasn't a noticeable drop off between Landry Jones and the #1 pick in the NFL draft. Neither team was at full power.

Yes, Landry Jones is better than Pritchard, but that's one of the things that separates elite programs from the flashes in the pan. Depth.

Florida knows a thing or 2 about being over rated.
