You can't just hire a coach so you can make an announcement on a certain day. Alot of coaches are still coaching. Alot of coaches would not want the information out until their season is over and possibly even their bowl game. IF we were hiring a guy who could be announced today, I have no doubt hart would do it.

That's not what I was suggesting. On the contrary, I feel as I'd DH should have been prepared to make it happen this weekend. After all, let's not be naive to the fact that this move has been in play for some time now.

Most leagues do. Remember the kerfuffle when the Yanks announced signing ARod during the WS?

You are correct that most leagues do prohibit announcements during major events, but it was Arod's agent announcing Arod was opting-out of his contract during the WS.
