Won’t be close. Their O-line is a weakness. Their QB is turnover prone. They don’t have the ability to slow our tempo, and they cannot score with us. We are a terrible matchup for Kentucky and Stoops knows it.Kentucky matched up pretty well with us last year. What was the final 45-42? They have the ability to shoot it out with us, don’t be mistaken, especially the weakness of our pass defense. But our d proves they can make crucial plays in crunch situations and Banks doesn’t care how many yards we give up as long as we win.
Backups on defense really looked out of place and got outplayed by UTM. Hopefully they get better with these reps and CJH needs to keep recruiting Defensive players to get much more depth. I'll take the WIN but Kentucky is going to be a hard fought game. Can't be looking ahead to the Dawgs.
Kentucky lost a lot of why they matched up with us well last year along with our players developing a lot more than theirs.Kentucky matched up pretty well with us last year. What was the final 45-42? Charles should be back as wellThis.
Turnage will be back. Hadden will probably be back. Lord willing the DA office stops trying to make a weak felony charge happen and Tank will be back. We played walk ons today and UTM Is one of the top FCS schools in the country. Veteran starters for top 25 FCS schools are gonna be better than walk ons.
Yes-even Bama looks awful without Bryce. Our system especially requires a certain qb.To be honest whats more concerning to me for the future is that Milton didnt look sharp, sure he threw a couple good deep balls but it was a drastic drop in production with him out there, most obvious to me was the decision making, Hendon just has the "it" factor, I just dont see that in Milton yet and Im afraid we never will, it was just painfully obvious that even tho we have a tremendous offensive system its really dependant on the man running it.
I hope you are correct, it is a concern for me tho, in the few times we've saw Milton this year he did look improved but it was glimpses, today we saw him running the offense and it wasn't fluid, idk, we'll see, I hope Nico is the real deal tho, I think we'll need him.Yes-even Bama looks awful without Bryce. I will step in and say I really like the development I’ve seen in Milton. Not many qb’s can come into the last play of the half vs Bama and have the pocket presence he did while making a great throw. He’s clearly developed. If he’s not the starting qb next year, I’m thrilled he’s a part of this team. Either he’ll step up as starter and Taven or Nico will learn from him or one of them will play and be fortunate in having a more senior teammate to mentor and develop them as both the starting qb and the leader of the offense. Heup and crew are gonna make hay with next year’s qb room. That position group is probably least concern for me going into 2023.
