Secret Service says "Kill him" allegation unfounded

I probably buy that about as much as yo do. In fact, if you really think he can't keep straight the lone instance that he decided to talk about on a nationally televised debate, maybe you should vote for someone more capable.

His lone strength is education, which implies brains, yet here you are saying he would be confused over this. How can you even remotely pretend he's ready to deal with foreign policy?

again, i don't think he was confused. he presented the facts as he knew them. there were numerous reports in the last week alone of people at mccain-palin events yelling "Kill him" and "terrorist" and "traitor" and "off with his head" this to go along with the many other unreported threats that any presidential candidate deals with daily. The gist of what he said last night was totally true, and no one denies that. i'm sorry he wasn't able to keep them all straight.

There's lots of reports that Obama isn't a natural born US citizen and that he's a practicing Muslim. McCain should have brought that up during the debate. That would have gone over really well.

which is their absolute right as Americans. Maybe you'd prefer Chopin listening pacifists?

That sounds pretty nice. If you can figure out a way for Al Qaeda to also become Chopin listening pacifists, I'm all for it.

I think the SS probably routinely briefs the Obama campaign on all sorts of threats (many real and at least one that was imagined by a journalist). Not sure if Obama himself sits in on those briefings himself, but if he does, I could see how he might have trouble keeping track.
If there aren't any real threats. The Obama campaign is more than happy to make up some.

and you almost nailed the reason that everyone can't join your little circle and sing Kumbaya. Peace is a very cool idea, but it's just a pipe dream given human nature.

This was at one of McCain's...

nice try.

have you ever been to a football game where you were exhorting your team to "kill" the other team? I notice Barack was strangely silent when McCain brought up the case of the t-shirts reading "sarah palin is a c*nt".

God forbid McCain or Palin go to a rodeo and they're handed a lasso at the same time a black cowboy (they do exist) passes by.

You folks are complaining that the Ayers issue is a distraction, go figure.

I wasn't trying, it was fairly obvious. Fortunately, I don't have to be bitter, my candidate seems to be doing ok despite the geriatric mind tricks of John McCain.
