I'm not sure what this means, the UCMJ has been a foundation of the US military since the beginning. Standards without consequences are simply recommendations, that would directly translate into a lack of order and an overall degradation of combat readiness.

Instead of blaming the perpetual punching bag "millennials", a little personal responsibility should be in order for the guys who actually broke the law and were judged by a jury of their peers. Maybe don't do the crime, if you can't do the time?

Trump and his supporters are okay with looking the other way on the UCMJ if its is done to spite people they dont like. That's the bottom line.

Call it what you want. It’s sentence was commuted and the way the dims adore it is all you need to know to know where they stand. Taking a picture with a dead enemy terrorist seems to be nothing when compared to a traitor.

A little late to the party since it took me some time to read up on this issue, but am I to understand Gallagher was charged with a multitude of crimes in which he was was found not guilty of in a military court, with the exception of posing with a corpse?

Bergdal wasn’t commuted. He took a pleas deal. A rank reduction to private, a dishonorable discharge and forfeiture of pay.

McGann, Mulvaney, Pompeo, Bolton will likely have to testify. In fact Judge ruled Trump may have to testify. Will WH appeal. Almost certainly. So months from now McGann will have to testify. But Mulvaney and Bolton could volunteer to testify in keeping with their comment if they had to testify they would. It is clear they will be forced to testify so why not just do it Dr. Hill and Lt Cmdr Vindman did
