Yeah, I'm sure he hates the fact that he's going to an elite program to play for a great coach who will get him to the NBA.

Hell, if he's as good as hyped, he could go juco and get to the NBA.

I agree... I was thinking about that right before his announcement. I think it def helped Kansas that Self has gotten people into the NBA... Selby is prob one and done, he also knows Self can make that happen and CBP has not been able to do that effectvely as of yet. As much as I hope Tobias stays for a few years, it may be beneficial to CBP and essentially the program -assuming pearl stays- if he goes pro after one year.

maybe having selby will change the bill self stigma of being terrible at coaching/developing point guards.

Um, I don't think he's announced yet. It's the first quarter & ESPN doesn't have anything on official announcements by Lamb or Selby. Let's stop this.

It was obvious he was going to Kansas for a while. The class of Harris, Golden, McRae, and Maymon will be just fine.

It's over. Momma trumps all. He'll be one and done. We want to be a program that builds a team that stays together, rather than a program that keeps kids for a year and has to constantly regroup.

To hell with Selby and his mom for stringing the Vols along all this time.
kid gave us some publicity after dumping us like a fat girlfriend over the summer..Witch Doctor say this not a bad thing...staff knew. Kid wanted to come, kid listened to momma. good luck Selby is the appropriate salutation.

Are you kidding? If he had said Tennessee, you wouldn't have said "Eww we don't want him, he's going to leave us after a year."

As long as you're bringing in talent on a consistent basis, who cares if some guys leave after one year?

Best of luck to him. I have been pretty impressed with his play in the Jordan game so far. He will be a one and done player and be a great point guard for Kansas. As for us, we will be fine and move on.

I would have taken him, but I think that players that stay more than one year are more likely to help build a team. I think a team is what we need, rather than a bunch of one and dones. I'll take them (one and dones), but I believe that getting a group of guys to stay together is going to make the really deep runs in the tournament.
