Serious Question Here Guys

Is there another Worley OP? You can't be talking about our QB.

He played pretty well. 1 pick that was his fault. The other pick was on Croom, hit him in the hands.

How are our Vols supposed to finally beat Florida this year like many have been saying including myself that this is the year we beat them. Not even just Florida...how are we supposed to win an SEC game with Justin Worley making all these dumb decisions? I love my Vols and will always root for them until the end but I think it would be a miracle if we went 6-6 this year. The future is definitely bright but I don't see Worley leading us to a bowl the way the offense is going.

and the winner for the worst thread of the year goes to.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................CamVol8, for his post concerning Worley. Come on down for your award and then please sit on it.

When guys don't get the qb they want they'll ***** about everything else. They wanted Ferguson and now he's gone and now they want Dobbs cause he's mobile. If Dobbs took the beating Worley took last night his frail ass wouldn't have made it to the 3rd quarter much less all four.

I love the Vols but our fanbase has a lot of idiots.

Do remember Peterman against Florida last year? Do you remember all of the Dobbs turnovers last year? You give Worley some time and decent receivers and he completes his passes. He made a bad play on the pick 6, but the other INT was on Croom. He was under duress the whole game and still completed half his passes. If he gets some blocking, I wouldn't be surprised if he is the best QB in the SEC east. I know that is debatable, but you could sure make an argument in his favor.

OP has been clamoring for a dual threat QB forever and was one of the big supporters of recruiting Torrance Gibson. While I would like a mobile QB I would take any of the OP's opinions on Worley as biased to support his agenda.

For sure.............what does one expect playing the #4 team in the country with 22 freshmen. Wow, talking about idiots. We have loads of them. We were within three plays of playing with world beaters. Everyone needs to get real. We had redshirt juniors and 5th year seniors playing us last night. Really , what do yall expect ???? I was extremely pleased. No, Worley is not a dual threat quarterback nor was he when he signed on with Tennessee. He will never be a running threat. Without a doubt we can go to a bowl game. I watched almost the entire second half of Florida and Kentucky. We can easily beat either team if we play like we are capable of.

Dude...Serious answer here...

Please tell me exactly what dumb decision Justin Worley made against the SAME defense AJ McCarron played last season? Other than Worley not keeping the ball on a couple of "read option" plays, he played one hell of a game! On the 4 yard line, Worley tried to squeeze a ball in to double coverage, which happened to be knocked in to the air and intercepted/returned to the house. The other interception is Croom's fault-->he should have caught that ball. Worley is one of our leaders on offense, but to not have Von Pearson (Croom replaced him on offense) and Wolf, Worley did a pretty good job! Lay off...it's the 3rd game of the season against a team that would place 1st or 2nd in the SEC.

Wish list for Worley...
Stay Healthy
Request less read option plays (OC concurrence)
Check off more (OC concurrence)
Throw the ball away if needed
Don't look down receiver
Don't throw into a crowd
Always slide before being tackled
Continue to be a leader
Always watch the outside blitzer
Always watch play clock
Take up for OL even when they have a bad game

You're kidding right? Worley was one of the few good things about the offense at that game. Not much works when you don't get any blocking. Unfortunately, Florida's strength (D-Line) is our weakness. Of course this year the D appears to be our strength, and the O is one of their weaker areas, so maybe it will end up 0 to 0 and go to overtime. I think it will be a close game, and we can win if the O-line gets a little better. We'll see.

Worley is the bright spot of this offense.. if he had the O line we had last year with the way hes playing this year the sky would be the limit. Especially with our RB's.

Ive been very please with our QB play and it has honestly convinced me that we WILL go bowling this year.

If you watched the Super Bowl last year, you witnessed the effect constant pressure can have on a QB, even our beloved Peyton. I don'tl think we could have asked for anything more from Worley, he gave it his best and made one bad decision. He is being talked about as possibly the most improved player in the SEC and even the not-so-knowledgeable fan such as myself can see the vast improvement from last year. Probably one of the toughest defenses he will face all season in just the 3rd game. This will pay benefits as we enter the SEC section of our schedule and I think Ole Miss is a real possibility for the unexpected road win nobody predicted us to win.

I am not so worried about the QB role. He faced a NFL laden defense and did not back-down. The O-Line will grow up or die-off. This is a matter of character. Expected good things from UT inside of the SEC schedule.

Sooner fan here. Worley is a stallion. The beating he took Sat. night should have put him in traction. He'll likely not see anything like that ever again because your very young O-line got a wake up call. OU is a valid contender this year and a loss there should not cause undue consternation. I've been on your side of the table before without the hope and confidence in the outstanding young players you've got.

Butch will make it work if you give him the chance. Keep playing tough out of conference games and he'll do it quicker. It was a joy to party with the Vol fans in Norman. You guys clearly understand what the game is about.

The wife and I will be at your place next year and expect a hella party. The game will be problematic based upon your talent-in-place-with-a-season-of-SEC-ball under your belt. Regardless we're looking for a party that also has a good football game attached.

Best of luck the rest of your season. We mutually need each other to win out.

Ya... Good job losing to a team you shouldn't...every year... "OU is going to go all the way" and every year they slip up on a team they should've beat example last year... TEXAS.

Please ignore the inane comments you will receive. Glad you enjoyed our company, and I hope that you have a great experience in one of the best college football atmospheres in the country next year.

Worley played a great game, IMO. Your line manhandled our fresh-meat OL, as I expected. CBJ is on track with recruiting, and these guys will grow and progress. I, honestly, see a hard-fought game next year.

I hope that your trip to K-town is enjoyable. Knoxville is, IMO, a great place to live, enjoy the outdoors, and visit. There are plenty of great restaurants and a plethora of options if you like to hike, get out on the lake, or just walk around town. That being said, I hope it's a long trip home. :)
