This thread is full of babies. The bumper sticker is terrible, but it's not like people had no idea there were racists out there.

The joe-vol thing was clearly a joke and now the pc police a completely overreacting.

Rumor has it that my schoolmate from BYU took this picture here in Utah. He's a black kid, but there aren't many blacks here. People are so dumb about racism. You'll hear people say slurs at work. It's cause it's not diverse. We have a decent population of American Indians, Hispanics, and Polynesians. Other than that it is all white. At the bar yesterday for St. Paddy's a black bouncer had a name tag that said "Token". I asked him about it, and he said he gave himself that name. It's kind of indicative of how race is treated here.

NB, mormons I know are a little racist and arrogant in thinking God thinks more of them than other folk. They have a superiority complex, and I'm not really sure why.

Perhaps, but I don't think so. I'm by far not a pc person. If you say something ignorant with a racist tinge, I have no sympathy for what comes your way. We all can say pretty much whatever we want. Just be prepared to accept responsibility for you words along with the ramifications. You can't make those type of statements then claim the 'others don't need to be uptight' angle. Joking or not, it was a stir the pot post. Don't complain when the pot's contents slosh out and burn you a bit.

It is entirely believable and will make it hard for anyone who wants to vote against Obama based on his lack of success because we will just get linked to this type of racist garbage.

I wish we could stop it all at this point, but given how we do the census and how we continue to divide up everyone by race in the schools(at least data-wise) it seems we will continue for a long time.

Lol I've heard that before. My good friend who is a two tour Vietnam vet and retired cop once told me "the most scariest thing to white folks is a black man with a badge and a gun" lol
