Seriously, What are we going to do...

We suck. That is the goal of our Athletic Dept. apparently. How else could you explain why we retain a coach who can not recruit nor coach offense. You saw during the last game (and throughout the season) Holly throw her hands up in disbelief. She can't coach and does not know what to do. The TV announcers were making fun of the LVs repeating the same stupidity each and every possession. Dribble around with no aim and then turn the ball over before you make any pass to a team mate. It's obvious the AD does not want to see the LVs succeed. If he did, he would fix it.

We are going the way of Delta State and La. Tech.

Can't fire holly with all this title ix stuff swirling. LV fans have to take one for the team...so to speak.

33 Alexa Middleton 5-9 G SO
31 Jaime Nared 6-2 G/F SO
0 Jordan Reynolds 5-11 G JR
21 Mercedes Russell 6-6 C RS SO

Seriously, What are we going to do...?

There's no need in anyone listing which lineup is best or explaining how we should run a motion offence or who we should go after in 2017.

IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYMORE!

And it won't matter again until we (that would be us fans who have invested our time and money) get a new coach.

Till then, all us fans can do is stop going to the games, wait until we have a new coach and make jokes.

By the way, did you hear the one about the Penguin who had car trouble so he..................

No idea what point you're trying to make. We already know the roster is bad, why compare it randomly to one of our 8 historical championship teams? Still bad.

To answer your question, they're going to lose. A lot....

We will be a better and playing for Championships, when we get better guards or better guard play. You guys are worrying about post, the game is about guard play, one or two post players top, most teams are playing four guars or guards and wings at 1-4.

Until we get some Alpha guards, this is going to be the Lady Vols, no different than a football coach, keep a average guy at QB, you mite win some games but you want win any big games, and clearly we don't have big game type of guards.

Here's to a great offseason. We need guards Holly, that are aggressive and who can dribble with their eyes up and who are not robots.

There has got to be a coach or an assistant coach somewhere that knows exactly what to do with our team. The next great coach is somewhere but we have to find him or her. Do not know how we do that but we better do something pretty quickly.

What happens if we have transfers? We will not have enough to field a team. Hopefully, something can be done to at least stop the bleeding.

The difference is not the roster it is the coach. Pat would have these girls playing like a well oiled machine.

One thing we should do is the players that can't get on the floor to play need to go elsewhere and we need to sign some JC players or someone that could help with playing time. Dunbar would be one of those players. She can score but according to most can't get on the floor because of defense. If she can't get on the floor to score then no need to have her on the bench. JMO we need replacements for a few of the guards who can't shoot 30 percent because if we had guards that could shoot 40 percent we'd probably have about 30 wins now.

It has been amazing how bad a shot a lot of these girls are...
It is remarkable how poorly they shoot. It has to be a lack of confidence. Even if they hadn't ever met each other and we're thrown together on the same team, they would shoot better than they did in the Miss St. game. Part of the coach's responsibility is getting the players to perform at their personal best and integrating those players into a cohesive team. Is that happening with this team ?

We shot 28 percent against Mississippi State. 18 for 64. If we had shot the same percentage as we did against A&M 38.9 percent we would have scored 25 field goals and won the game by 4 points and that doesn't even count the ten free throws we missed.
In other words we had to play totally lousy to lose that game and that is exactly what we did. It has happened about 9 times this past season. We even won a couple when we played lousy.
I thought the losses we played decent in were Texas A&M, Kentucky, and Mississippi State the first time. All should have been wins as we choked away big leads in all three games.

I'm certainly not defending Holly's coaching, but any roster with Candace Parker has a significant edge over this one...

Players like Candace Parker make almost any coach look like a genius. She didn't need an offense she could go one on one and score on anybody.

I thought it was interesting that there were 5 players over 6'3" on this noted team. Yes, Candace was a genius when it comes to basketball.

And the greatest Lady Vol team of all time in 98 only had two players who were 6'3", and neither was a true low post player. Too bad the three Meeks ain't walking through that door....

Charlie currently has us as a 6 seed playing out in Tempe against UTEP in round one....get past that you'll have Arizona State who plays defense would be an ugly game

that's ok,the Lady Vols play defense too :)

If Charlie is right, we can beat UTEP, and have the quickness to beat ASU. I think the difference will be what type of offense we decide to play. I have seen ASU play three times. There is not a player that has Diamond qualities on ASU. They do have active bigs, which will be a challenge for Russell. Their bigs are not scared to bang. However, with Charles projected seeding, I can see us in the Sweet 16. Holly needs to embrace and trust the offense we played in the three straight games we won.

Wuteva, the players need to run the offense that has been in place all season.

This could be our best chance of getting to the Sweet 16. After playing so poorly against MSU, I'm surprised he's projecting the LVs as a 6 seed. If the LVs can get some offense going, we can win. ASU is 1-2 this year against teams that scored 70 points, and they lost to UK who put up 68.

But Tempe is really far away... and he's got Auburn in LA. So much for the geography factor.
