Serrano retiring at end of season

Him and Anthony Grant at Alabama are 2 of the biggest misses I've ever seen from what I was sure were home run hires.

It just kind of underscores how freaking tough coaching in major college athletics markets really is. Nothing is given. No guarantees. Appreciate what you have while you have it.

Best of luck to CDS and whatever his endeavors may be in the future........I could possibly see him doing some TV work as well if coaching isn't in the cards.

I see that Kyle is still playing for the AA affiliate of the Astro's in Corpus Christe as of the end of the 2021 season. Had 12 appearances in 2021, 14 innings, and 30 strikeouts. High ERA of 7.07 but with 14 innings, the runs may have come in an inning or 2.

It won’t happen, but it would be cool if TV could offer him an “easy” non-recruiting position, but I’m sure DS is retiring to spend time with his family

It didn't help that the SEC was a monster while he was on the Hill, a SEC team either won the CWS or was runner-up.

SEC still a monster, which makes what CTV has done so frigging amazing.

Enjoy your retirement, CDS. Join the Vol Navy!
