Not as "well-equipped" as you may think since the majority of our enterprise servers are hosted in a cloud environment where I have to rely on SLAs that don't necessarily mean what they say sometimes. The days of controlling your own data centers are behind us except for file & print services.

hey freak will this server issue delay my receiving a refund for my membership fee?

Not at all. We regret this inconvenience and have issued full refunds across the board for the entire amount of the annual membership fee.

I need to research cloud computing a bit more. I would love a scenario where we only pay for the resources we use while having unlimited availability for peak times. I'm not sure I totally understand how these types of solutions scale, though.

Freak... when looking into cloud hosting, check out "metered" services.

We had a few issues last night and this evening with the server. Last night we had a hardware issue which was quickly resolved. Those issues lasted less than an hour.

Today, however, we had some issues with date stamps being incorrect. This wasn't an issue until we corrected the time thus causes threads and posts to become out of order.

I spent the last few hours correcting the issues and things appear to be back to normal now. However, please let me know if you notice any strange date/time issues.

*EDIT: The "users online" feature is a bit screwed up, but I'll have it fixed by tomorrow. Hopefully.

Thanks for the explanation Freak. Another site I visit regularly isn't loading for some reason but isn't giving me error issue (load inifinity) and it's also web forum (not sports related) and I'm wondering if they're running the same or very similar software.

Ah technology - great until it gets froggy on you and drives you nuts trying to fix. :)

Is anyone else having the pages come up without the scroll bar on the side?? I can see the pages, but cant scroll up or down to view anything.
