Didn't see any Sevendust threads. Any SD fans? I really enjoy all their music. They have been making great music for so long and that's really kind of rare in the "metal" genre. They are fixing to come out with a new disc in March and have released a few clips of songs on Youtube. I am excited to see what the new music sounds like. They have said on FB that the new disc would be the "heaviest" SD music yet.

Trip down memory lane. Forgot about those guys.

I wore this cassette out back in junior high:

They are very easy to forget because for some reason they never get much radio play. I guess most of their songs aren't "radio friendly". I really enjoy all of their stuff. I think all of their records are good. Some are better than others but still good. IMO.

Love their stuff. I hadn't heard they were recording again...I'll be looking for their new album.

If you have a FB account you can "like" the SD page and they will give updates on tour dates and stuff. That's how I found out and followed their recording of the new disc.

Great live show to see. I used to go everytime they'd come to Blue Cats.

Truth speak. I got to see them in Atl during the Alpha tour. It was the last show of the tour and of course SD is orginally from GA. The show was pure awesomeness. Probably one of the best shows I have seen period. They played for about two and half hours, non-stop.

They are coming to ATL again in May. I am going to try and make this show because they will be touring for the new disc.

I saw them a few years ago in Nashville, they were the second act before Disturbed and Korn.

They were ok, didn't really blow me away or anything.

I have notice that they tend to put on a better show when they are headlining act. My buddy and I were talking about that the other day. He has seem SD about ten times and he said he feels like they put on a better show when they headline.

That genre isn't really my thing any more but I used to love them back in the day.

Saw them live 3-4 times and they put on a great show.

True, I believe they were only given a little over 30 minutes to perform, so they didn't have a lot of freedom. Plus I was primarily there for Disturbed, and kinda Korn, and Disturbed was right after them so I probably wasn't giving them as much attention as I should have.

I have seen Disturbed twice. Once when they were touring for their first album and the second time was about five or six years ago at Rock on the Range. They were two completely different shows I feel like. First time I saw them they were great. Second time....not so much.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm probably in the minority that I like older Disturbed more than their earlier work. Their early stuff was raw but it was too nu-metal for me. Their later work when they introduced guitar solos back in is much better to me; although I will say their last album Asylum was half good, half filler. I am interested to hear Damien's new band Device.

I liked their early stuff and absolutely can't stand them now but I also think that might be more due to me changing than the band.

Disturbed is a different band now than when they started. I really enjoyed their first two records. After that it was kind of hit or miss.

Can't wait for the new one. Nice to see a hard rock band stick to their roots and not sell out or change for mainstream success. These guys rock.

I think the fact that they have never changed their sound is one of the reason why I like them so much. Their sound had evolved but never far from their "sound".

It's not. This album is probably their heaviest one yet. It's a lot different than what's come out from them the last couple of years. You won't be disappointed.
