SG Bishop Daniel to Tennessee?

Kid looks like a player to me. I see alot of people asking if he can shoot the 3. While it is a plus if he can...I will take a guy who is fearless driving to the basket anytime. That is what frustrated me so much watching Hopson. He seemed to shy away from driving the ball to the rim way to much. I think this kid would be a handful for alot of guards on the offensive end.

Go Vols!

We didn't have a consistant outside shooter. The defense just packed the paint and made it to tough to drive the middle.

Kind of surprises me.
Why? What kid in his right mind would decide he's going to attend a school with an idiot like Frank Haith in charge, then bail when they end up making an upgrade in the head coach's office? It's the same reason none of the kids who signed with Pelphrey were going anywhere, as long as Anderson wanted them.

I just had a hunch he was going to bail no matter what. Haith is a complete idiot but do you really think Larranaga is a huge upgrade? Also do you think Bishop would have been a good get for the staff?

Larranaga has been to the Final Four with CAA talent and Haith has made the tourney once in 7 years. You make the call. Haith can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. I don't know what the Mizzou AD was thinking.

Haith is a really, really bad head coach. Once the guys currently on campus are gone, Missouri will sink to the bottom of the Big 12 in rapid order.

Daniel would have been a nice recruit for UT, but he's not a program maker.

Not sure where you saw in my post that I thought Haith was a good coach.

Larranga is not much of an upgrade. Yea he went to the final four, but his teams have been average since.

Ask Villanova how average they were this year. VCU can probably give some insight on that topic, too.

Larranaga is an excellent tactician; I just don't know enough about his recruiting ability to know if he can do well enough to really compete at a high level at Miami.

I don't think he'll do anything special at Miami. The main reason he's a significant upgrade is that he's replacing an imbecile.

He doesn't have to compete at a really high level at Miami. He needs to win the games that he should with the kind of talent that Miami can bring in and at least try to energize the fanbase. That's all the adminstration can really ask from him. He needs some young assts that can get out into South Florida and keep some of the better players from going to other Big East or ACC schools. The bar isn't exactly set that high at the U.

Haith was just such a mope that he's already gauranteed to be an upgrade. Talk about a guy who is non-existant on the sidelines.

How hard can it be to recruit elite talent to bring their talents to South Beach? Serial?

"Do you like nice weather all year, beaches, and silicone?"

"Hell yeah I do!"

"Son, those stories about the U being a top 10 party school were all hogwash as well. We're expecting you to regularly attend class monday through thursday."
