Shaka Smart to Marquette [probably unfounded rumor]

I am not sold on Shaka Smart as the media anointed coaching superstar.

He has not hung any banners, yet the media makes him out to be the 2nd coming.

I'm not sure that his style will win in a major conference.

He got a final four at VCU. Thats a banner. His style would win easily imo. His team this year made it to t
he tournament as a five seed so I dont think his name is fading.

Smart to Marquette and Mack likely leaving Xavier for WF...Sampson likely taking the Houston job.

Credit to ADs so far, making good hires IMO

Sampson is probably the best one (though major programs understandably wouldn't touch him).

This looks like it's not happening. The Midday 180 was discussing it on Monday, and apparently there is talk that Smart may not want to go to a school where football is king or at least as big as basketball, which is why he may not have jumped to some of the schools he was linked to. Again just speculation, I have no idea how true it is.
