Shameless

I hated her arch so much.

I’m in season 6 now. In at the end of season 3 she gets guardianship of the family then proceeds to go AWOL the next 2 seasons. Is the Diner owner she hooks up with supposed to be the same character Jeffery Dean Morgan was playing at the end of S5 (side note, it was kinda funny to see Negan and Sister Knight standing next to each other).

Mickey has gone from one of my least liked characters to one of my favorites.

That court scene hurt my heart for real. Yes it is supposed to be the same person.

Mickey is awesome, and one of the few characters they don't screw up for an extended period of time.

I get 5 and 6 confused, is 5 Frank needing a liver?

No that was 4. Along with Fiona’s jail arc. The scene with Frank after the liver surgery talking to the little girl like she is Fiona was gut wrenching. Then the little girl dies and he thinks it’s Fiona... one of the few times I actually had sympathy for Frank.

5 is post new liver. Shelia runs off in an RV after Frank’s home brewery blows up her house. Sammi tries to take over Fiona’s role in the Gallagher house before Carl gets Chuckey attested for drug trafficking. Meanwhile Fiona is going through her love triangle BS while Lip is trying to pay for college. Frank hooks up with a young attractive doctor dying of cancer.

Season 6 starts with him acting like they were in love for years. Debby and Fiona are pregnant. That’s as far as I’ve gotten so far.

Reading this thread makes me want to go back and watch again from the beginning. I haven’t watched it in a couple of years now. I made it to season 7 or 8 (the one where Lip’s professor/mentor goes off the deep end) and just kind of lost interest.

But it’s one of the few shows I actually like that I haven’t watched through multiple times.

I’m about to finish season 8. I have to credit the show for keeping me hooked this long. I haven’t really wanted to stop watching despite some repetitive storylines.

Ian’s gay Jesus storyline is very similar to Frank’s gay advocacy story albeit his intentions are more altruistic.

Lip’s alcoholism is a little worn out. Ready for him to get his **** together.

Debby was cute and I rooted for her until she got pregnant. Her character became extremely unlikable at that point.

I’ve enjoyed Carl’s rise and fall. I’m glad he grew out of his gangsta phase. It should have matured him though. He kinda regressed in S8.

Fiona earned her bunty title between seasons 4-7. I started to like her again in season 8. Don’t blame her for wanting make something of her life. Definitely could have handled it better with the family.

I love Kev, V, and Svetlana too. When Kev meets his family in Kentucky I almost cried laughing. Mostly at his attempts to use southern slang.

Frank continues to be a pretty strong character but they put him in some stupid positions.

I hope Deb gets hit by a bus and dragged for 53 miles. Gets up stumbles into the woods and gets arms and legs eaten off by wolves, as she is screaming for help a squirrel rips out her tongue. Then she is found and saved by a hunter, but not before he accidentally shoots both of her eyes out, and she spends the rest of her life bedridden and full of infection that she has to get drained hourly. Also has a nurse with a Cleveland steamer fetish, and she wakes up every morning to a pile of poo on her.

Sober Lip kind of sucks now. He was the only one that I really wanted to succeed in life, but now I just want him to be a drunk ass again.

I would watch a Kev and V spinoff. Keep the 2 other dudes in the bar, random guest appearances by current cast.

For people that have watched
I miss Svetlana, such an awful end to her character

I love Svetlana. I cracked up when V tried to report her to ICE and the guy said “Russians aren’t really a priority right now.”

How they glossed over Cassidi was chilling. I know she was BSC, but still!

I was thinking the same thing as I watched Carl get the new girl tonight.

There has been some weird things dropped from the show. Like the cop in the first season who ended up in the house next door. It was only mentioned 2-3 times in the following season then dude only appeared a couple more times after that.

Tony? He ended up being gay. Was in an intra squad softball game with the gay firemen against the gay cops. Also Eddie, the hot tatooed motorcycle shop co-worker of Lip’s.
