It's the only way to make sense of how they performed against UT and Clemson last year compared to how they performed in every other game...especially looking at how they're doing this season when they should be better. Outside of those two wins, they've been pretty bad under Beamer.I hate Clemson but watching them thump SC this year will be fun. Especially because I really believe they conspired with Michigan on the sign stealing.
Somebody from an NHL front office could get this done tomorrow. The entire situation with Jimbo has made me wonder if it is possible to "trade" a college coach?
You know how sometime the pros will trade a player but still pick up most of his salary? Usually this is done for a player near the end of his contract or near the end of his guaranteed money or whatever.
A&M should work some sort of deal where they trade him to some half-baked school like uscjr and pick up half his salary. They get basically a reduced buyout and uscjr gets a cheap football coach for 7 years which they would love
I know it's not possible due to contracts, etc but you have to admit it would be funnier than hell.
Jimbo Fisher is Lou Holtz without the mad language skills and fire in the belly that hasn’t been diagnosed as IBS.We need to be careful what we wish for here. If they fire Beamer they may find someone substantially better. Jimbo Fisher, who can recruit, may be available. Even a blind squirrel can find some nuts, remember they got lucky with Spurrier.
Not sure how they have almost the same record? MN has 3 more wins with an extra year of coaching, with 10 games more. and they play in the ACC. Heupel has a much better winning percentage, and far more ranked wins. and thats while dealing with the NCAA the whole time. Heupel's lowest win record is better than Norvell's bottom 2.What has JH won at UT ?? Both have almost same record, but headed right direction, eh??
Norvell also took over a 6-7 bowl team as opposed to Heupel inheriting a 3-7 team that had lost 30+ players to transfer. Not sure how they have almost the same record? The comedy of Jimbo to USCe would be how little his Gamecock salary would offset the payout A&M would owe him.Jimbo can't win with all the talent money can buy. I'd love for him to land at USCjr.
also makes me think of when South Carolina hired Muschamp after he had been fired from Florida. The comedy of Jimbo to USCe would be how little his Gamecock salary would offset the payout A&M would owe him.
I think A&M has to find a ringer before they can even think about axing Jimbo.
Who would it even be?
It is not a great situation to land in. Nothing super inspiring about their offensive roster.
