Yes, morons bashing players in a thread where it isn't relevant to the thread topic in any way bugs me a bit.

This has all been beaten to death. Bruce and the staff did a poor job with Hopson. Hopson's flaws are still his own problem but they certainly didn't do him any favors. Hopson's flaws are pretty minor. If he isn't able to correct them in a professional setting where basketball is his job, then he won't be in the league. I'm holding out hope that he's able to finally put it all together and make it into the league.

I dont know where you get Hopsons flaws are minor. These same flaws might be minor to more of a mature player but this is a big deal for Hopson. He has had grade school, high school and college to learn how to dribble and play basketball. He was never consistent and once a player got inside of Hopsons head Hopson was done for.I dont hate Hopson and I wanted to see him get drafted but he just didnt have it.It was really pathetic to watch a guy thats going to be a Sr. in college and couldnt dribble the ball.

His ballhandling problems are minor, this past season can attest to that as Scotty looked pretty dominant for a good stretch of the SEC season where he was able to get to the rim at will. Warranted, there were some times his ballhandling did look a bit sketchy, we can all remember quite a few times where Scotty dribbled the ball off of his foot. I think Scotty's biggest problems are all mental. If he gets that sorted out, everything else will follow.

There are some posters who think his problems can't be worked on, and that's a valid argument. BUT a good coach or trainer can be very effective. See Shaka Smart/Brad Stevens. Also look at Jordan Hill and Russell Westbrook; players can improve.
