Shepard Smith Says His Email Is Becoming "More And More Frightening" (VIDEO)


Shep is really starting to piss a lot of his viewers off, bt what he said is One Hundred Percent correct.

There are more and more Nutjobs coming out of the woodwork everyday and I am very afraid that it is just a matter of time before one of these loons try to Assassinate Obama.

There are many people out there on the net especially that are really starting to become disconnected from reality.

This dialogue reminds me of when McCain had to reel that lady in at the campaign stop, the one who said Obama was a frightening Arab and McCain stopped her and said, no, good family man, Christian, etc. The emails he is getting are a DIRECT consequence of the right wing talk radio machine and their histrionic blogging counterparts. No question about it.

Blaming this on anything other than idiots just being idiots is ridiculous. People are just stupid . . . and I've got the edited posts, deleted threads and banned users to prove it.

They are idiots to begin with, I agree. But they have to have someone repeating these ideas to them over and over again to get them to believe that their views are shared by enough people to make them acceptable or even mainstream.

My father was a judge. He used ot tell me that crazy people coming into his courtroom were not necessarily illogical. They could be quite rational, in fact, explaining step by step the conclusions they reached to justify their actions.

The problem for many was that they started off the logical process with one extremely flawed factual premise. Anything from the target of their ire was Satanic to their being the son of Elvis.

We see that with some of these people. They are so strained financially, etc., it does not take much to knock them off the right track.

He's a black guy named Barack Hussein Obama. That's plenty of reason for tons of people to hate him.

Exactly . . . It's not like you need a PhD in psychology. These morons didn't suddenly discover Obama's blackness because Rush Limbaugh told them.

I would imagine that many newscasters got similarly whacko comments when we began the Iraq war.

Don't discount the actual policy decisions and statements made by the current admin and Congress in setting these people off.

To blame it on right wing talk is to seriously misunderstand the true nature of the whackosity.

Yes, it's Obama's stimulus package that has the transistor heads ranting about birth certificates and the President's secret pact with radical Islamists.

The HuffPo piece is a bit ironic with their concern about Fox taking these emails "casually". Apparently they didn't have a problem with the pages and pages of whacko rants posted on their own website.

Because of my schedule I get to watch him very rarely but I have always thought he was one of the best in the business today.
