Shipley injury

This Dabo hate is really interesting.

He blazed the trail that Heupel is trying to follow for lifting a program into the top tier.
The path Dabo "paved" looks nothing like what Tennessee has done. At all. For one, how long did it take Dabo to build anything? He also has certainly benefitted from some other down ACC and SEC programs around him.

Dabo is a hypocritical holier-than-thou scumbag one single rung above Hugh Freeze.

There is a bit of ridiculousness though. Compare the media narratives.

College player gets rushed out of the medical tent back on to the field= He’s tough and relentless. An inspiration to his teammates.

An NFL player gets rushed out of the medical tent back on to the field= This is what’s wrong with the NFL. Modern day slaves! We need to protect the players.
The NFL is cracking down on guys going back in with head injuries. There have been obvious examples this year alone.

Shipley is a hoss for sure. Man, he is a bruiser and deceptively quick. I didn't know he went into the tent, but he was in warrior mode. They showed him huffing and puffing and sucking oxygen through a mask with dirt and grass stains everywhere. Maybe he'll transfer to UT 🤞

I actually thought we pretty much contained him and made him look average to pedestrian JMO 17 carries for 72 yards with a long of 13 yards and a 4.2 yards per carry.
J wright 11 carries 89 yards 8.1 per carry long of 42.

Heupel's not following any Clemson trail.

He is blazing his own trail, guided by the Tennessee Volunteers of the past.

We're walking back up the mountain we fell off 14 years ago. Don't need to follow anyone else to do that.

Like I said, the Dabo hate is interesting.

Yes. Heupel is trying to climb the NCAA power tree by finding his own players and cultivating a culture that differentiates him from previous coaches and his competition.

Blazed the trail my ass!
Took a program mired in mediocrity. Didn't recruit at an elite level according to the recruiting sites. Focused on developing a "culture" as a basis for success. Had a good season in year 2 followed by one down year followed by twelve consecutive seasons with 10 or more wins including 4 NCG appearances and 2 NC's.

What do you call it?

The game is not the same as it was when those past Vol coaches did well. Majors got more patience than is possible in today's media. Fulmer took over a healthy program. The challenge in front of Heupel is more similar to what Dabo faced... except somewhat worse.

Dabo focused on "culture". He brought in a lot of talent but didn't get "love" from the recruiting sites. He had early success that he sustained and took to a championship level.

True every word.....blazing a trail was done way before Dabo....the path was clear for Dabo.
