3 shot. All expected to survive. In the Fort, not actually on campus.

Supposedly shooter knew victims, not just some random crazy shooting people.

I just googled it. Mods, feel free to delete. I didnt know it was off campus or details.

Not according to latest update an hour ago but all 3 victims survived and evidently know the shooter/s.

I'll move it to the pub once we've seen all there is to see. No problem with you posting it in the FF for high visibility. That's what I would have done too. A shooting on or near campus is obviously something that concerns a lot of us.

With so many recruits and fans checking the web tonight in anticipation of signing today tomorrow posting this had to seem like a great idea. I mean really dude how dumb can you be?

Especially with you adding "on campus shooting" in the title thread with no idea of where the shooting actually took place. Now we've learned it wasn't even on campus. Jeeez

I've got to question the decision making skills of a mod who would leave a thread up knowing that the thread topic is misleading and potentially very damaging to the university. Especially when it comes to something like a shooting.

I mean verocitaloper or whatever that name is just posted that he knows it was off campus yet he allows this thread to remAin and says he would have posted the same thing. The damn thread title says on campus shooting.

13th and Highland, some apts. every campus has or will have a shooting incident sooner or later. Idiots are born everyday.

Mods, please remove this thread. I'm sure there are relatives of students that read VN, and this thread could cause them to panic. While it is worthy of a mention, the title is misleading and inaccurate. I'm not trying to be an A-hole, but this needs to be corrected ASAP.

How was this thread "potentially very damaging to the university"? Crime takes place in the Fort all the time. UTK is still there.

I left the thread in the FF while people figured out what was going on. It's only been up about an hour.

...you don't care bout the university; you don't care about a shooting. You're just worried that one of our recruits is going to renege on his commitment tomorrow morning because he happens to see a thread about a shooting near campus the night before. Great job.

I would think our recruits see this as a positive - a place right by campus where you pop some caps in folks.
