Should Dungy play 1st string?

I wonder if they are fearing the Colts right now. Do they lay awake at night thinking, "11-0, they are close, who do they have left, what if they win, will we be forgotten"?

Oh man, this is exciting. I like the Dolphins too. I just can't get that worked up over pro ball like I do for the Vols.

I actually set my alarm clock for 0200 on monday night because I knew I wouldn't make it through the MNF game.

I had to know the score. Seems like the Colts season has me pretty interested.

GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TIDWELL-

If you were a Dolphins fan, you would not want the record broken either.....but you are not so you have no idea how much it means to the former players, current players, and to the longtime Dolphin fans.

If I had to choose any team that would break their record, it would have to be the Colts and it is only because a former Vol player is leading the way.

The Colts are completely dominating this year, so it looks like this may be the year that the record is broken.

Just because I was a baby during this time doesn't mean crap. I know most of the history of the Dolphin teams that played before that.

EXAMPLE: You haven't been around long enough to remember much about the VOLS outside of the Fulmer and Majors era. If you went back and found something in the history of the VOLS football team and noticed that they have held an important record for all of these years, I would guarantee that you would not want it broken either.

You have your opinion and I have mine, but I don't think you should be calling the former players "old geezers" and making fun of their celebrating when it is something that is important to them. You will be an "old geezer" yourself one day.

Of course, I'm just too young right now. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to in life.

JENNVOLS, for the record, I KNOW why it's important to THEM, I just said it's annoying to ME seeing them celebrate it every year like they were the ones that defeated that year's last unbeaten. That is all.

I don't care what they do as long as someone beats them !!!!  My Dolphins are the only team that should have an undefeated season!  :realmad:

They only played 14 games so it's a joke anyway.

That is a good point, I am sure with the amount of games that are played now, the Fins reign on an undefeated season would have been over a long time ago. It would have been so easy. Most teams that dominant would pull the key players once the playoffs and home advantage were locked.

If the seasons were comperable to the past times, teams within a 2-3 game shot prolly would have went for it. :twocents:

Since the schedule switched from 14 to 16 games, I still don't think anybody has ever started 14-0.

I know, but I said there have been teams to come within 2-3 to get 14 straight. I am sure some would have just went the distance to get at least 14.

I say keep playing the starters because of momentum. I have seen teams pull their starters when they get things sewn up and lose all of their momentum heading into the playoffs.

I've got one, I don't celebrate when other people fail to do something... lol

Going into the final weekend of the 98 season, there were 3 undefeated teams; us, K-State, and UCLA. The BCS projections were saying that we would be odd man out if all three teams won out. Well, K-State lost to aTm in the Big 12 title game and UCLA lost to Miami. I celebrated like a wildman over both of those teams failing to make the BCS title game. Why, because it benifited us.

It's no different than the 72 Fins celebrating when their record stays in tact. If you were a part of that team or a die hard Dolphins fan you would celebrate it too.

Having said that, I personally hope the Colts break it this year. I really don't care one way or the other about the 72 Dolphins, or the Colts either for that matter. I just want to see Peyton break every record that he can, and go down as the greatest quarterback in the history of the league.
