come on FV, you've read my posts and see me as a repub? Just cause I don't believe socialism is the answer? I actually believe in more personal freedom than either party offers

I would agree but personal freedom requires people to be responsible and unfortunately too many are not.

that's pretty much my point. I don't want the gov't telling me and making decisions on what is responsible or not. That is not their job but the American people have just sat around getting fat, lazy and taking what the gov't gives us without ever thinking to ask for more. The people in this race are just begging to take away more of the people's responsibility and many are just eating it up.

Unfortunately not everyone starts out equal but pretty much everyone in this country has the ability to make their own lives better through education and hard-work. You take away that motivation and you take away what makes this country. I don't mind giving someone a hand up but don't try and steal my wallet while I'm doing it.
