Should Kim make this transfer an offer she can't refuse...

I'm good with CKC doing whatever the hell she wants to do. She doesn't need any of us telling her how to do her job. She seems to be doing just fine.
Gotta like a coach that repeatedly catches the "know it all" forum experts with their pants down. No one saw her coming, she received a very reluctant welcome from many posters here, but she delivered in her first year (Sweet 16) and her first recruiting class (#2 nationally). No one saw that coming either. She can do what she wants to do. She's earning that right.

@kell7517 , look at the big games that ended close. Spencer and Cooper get 30 when they aren't in foul trouble. Look at Ohio St, LSU, UConn, Texas, SC. We usually have 2 players at 30 or very close.

All I did was find the stats that said not 1 of our players avgs 30 minutes. Just 1 over 25. That was my point in the comment. If that young lady wants avg 30 minutes a game. It’s not happening

I’ve posted their playing time avg. and only one is over 25 minutes. You can see that on page 1.

Right, because in most of our blowouts they were playing 20 tops and still putting up the same numbers in this system.

If Latson comes to UT she’ll play fewer minutes but more of a pro style, have a chance to be a leader on a very talented team with Final Four potential and still have an opportunity to be NPOY. If she averages 6 less points and 4 fewer minutes but her team wins more games she’ll get a lot more national attention.

W doesn’t play this way at all. They would never risk their legs, their livelihood, on an all out press. The fact our legs were burned out by mid Feb is why. Also they’d never hockey line sub.

Everyone saying no here will eat their words and praise Latson if she commits . Playing against her versus with her is outrageously dumb she will make us better next year hell she will make any team better next year and if we don’t get her I don’t want her in the SEC which seems inevitable lol.
Only reason I was saying no, is because if she wants what she had at FSU(minutes and pt avg) she probably won’t get it here.

That's a stretch and a big one. Coop & Whitehorn average just over 23 minutes per game, Jewel is at about 24 and Sam Spencer is leading the way at 25 minutes per game.
The average was more like 27 plus when we got to SEC play. In the early game they were getting around 20 minutes and sometimes less. Spencer was really pushing 30 in SEC play. Whitehorn and Cooper probably 27 they stayed in foul trouble to much to get any higher. Spear also went way up in SEC play from the minutes she player pre-SEC.

Not about total number of mins as much as the way they're distributed. Some scorers like sustained mins to get in rhythm, many tend to score in bunches over those extended min stretches . That plus excessive wear on legs will be a factor for some and thats ok, no bad reflection on players or coaches just personal preference. We can be assured that all this will be discussed and agreed on before any transfer comes here.

I'm not seeing anybody coming here right now unless they play the four or five. That could change if someone on the present team gets in the portal. If none of the main players get in then you have five and five and Kaiya Wynn, You have Ace and Edie so they would either have to go or you have two to work with if no one goes. I think were looking at the 4 and 5 position and no where else if no one is leaving.

I think she will eventually stretch it out to three minutes before subbing. She did it some this season in the SEC.

Latson is getting the minutes....she is getting the NIL money....there is something missing for her and it's not minutes or attention or the NIL money. I would guess she wants a chance at a national title. That is the only thing that makes sense. If that makes sense, then South Carolina makes sense. Then again...so do a lot of other schools. We shall see.

Even as loaded with guards as Dawn is she would take Latson in a skinny minute. I haven't watched her enough to know if she can create her own shots but if she can SC needs her. Yesterday Lay was the only one who could and she proved to be the difference.

Majority of players now don’t care about winning championships as long as they are paid. Have you seen a kid say they took a NIL cut to win a championship?
True, I'm just not sure which she is looking for. I would like to think titles or getting ready for her next step but your probably right. No judgement from me, if the $ is there go get it.

Again, look at the highly competitive games and get back to me. Barring foul trouble, our top players played 30 or very close to it.
Look at conferences stats. Nobody averaged over 26 minutes and the SEC is competitive (probably the most competitive out of any league in the country)top to bottom. We did lose to last place Georgia and had to really fight to hold off Missouri if you dont believe its competitive. You will see players get to 30, but never anymore than 2 and the players vary.

The conference stats would indicate otherwise. I think Coop was high at 26 and the rest 25 and below.

Sounds right because a lot of foul trouble in many of the games. down the stretch a lot of playing around 30 or close to 30 happened like this game and there were a few more. When the SEC first started it was more 22 or so she started going a way from that more down the stretch.
