Should Obama have apologized for the burning of korans in Afghanistan?

Apology?

No,the Muslims already desecrated them by writing in them.
Maybe when the Jews bomb Iran they let a few strays hit Afghanistan .

Prob just to ease tensions to protect soldiers. I find it hilarious they got so mad since they burn our flag all the time. Pretty hypocritical.

Nope. Its not worthy of a comment. He made it more sensational by commenting on it.

Why wouldn't he? We hold ourselves to a higher standard than others. Two wrongs do not make a right in regards to the point made that they burn our flags.

Because it was not something that was done on purpose. Publically burning a flag is meant to evoke a response.

That is a fair point. But i would venture to say that if a group of Muslims accidentally burned a handful of bibles, there would be outrage.

He shouln't have acknowledged it. I understand why he says he did it, but I think the people are so radical that apologizing is worthless and also makes him/the west look weak.

Yeah, maybe. But you can bet your ass that Mockmajeenadouche (sp) would not be handing out apologies.

I believe we (The US Military) burned a load of Bibles recently to appease the locals. I don't remember any outrage or death threats.

Perzactly, our teleprompter in chief should have explained
that taliban moslems themselves had desecrated the korans
by writing in them and that we were destroying them
in the proper islamic prescribed manner.

Instead, teleprompter in chief kissed A and said five
soldiers would go before a disiplinary hearing for following
orders and futher that all of our soldiers would undergo
more sensitivity training.

BTW, our military doesn't issue korans to any soldier that
doesn't have M on his dog tag because it is a desecration
for an infidel to even touch one.

Two more officers were shot point blank in the backs of
their heads by an Afghan who supposedly was a literacy
trainer.

Our hypocrite in chief should have defended the actions
of our men rather than apologizing.

He says in his book that in times of trouble he will stand
with the muslims, at least in that regard he's not lying.

Obama: "I want to make sure we end before the call to prayer"

There is a video in the link above where he informs the
Israeli with whom he is meeting that he wants to finish
before the evening (muslim) call to prayer.

Why on Earth would he say that?

Because he's betraying our country for who knows why. He needs to be tried and hung for treason.

Terror Embeds: Taliban Defense Attorney now No. 3 at Obama DOJ - Atlas Shrugs

Our treacherous regime at work. This is one of
scores of subversive and dangerous appointments
by an adminstration at war with America.

Taliban Defense Attorney now No. 3 at Obama DOJ

In a scary development, a major Obama fundraiser
who defended a convicted al Qaeda terrorist will
become the third highest ranking official at the
Department of Justice (DOJ), which, ironically,
is charged with defending the interests of the
United States.

Northern California lawyer Tony West has been
named Assistant Attorney General for the Civil
Division, making him the No. 3 guy at the agency.

In 2009 West, who helped Obama raise tens of
millions of dollars as finance co-chairman of
his first presidential campaign, was appointed
to help run the DOJ’s civil division which
represents the government, Congress and
presidential cabinet officers and handles cases
dealing with significant policy issues.

john-walker-lindh.jpg

Conveniently omitted in the press release is
that West represented convicted al Qaeda
terrorist John Walker Lindh, who is serving
a 20-year prison sentence. Lindh was captured
in Afghanistan in 2001 while fighting against
the U.S.-backed Northern Alliance as a member
of the Taliban army. He actually pleaded guilty
to aiding the Taliban and carrying explosives
while fighting U.S. troops in the region.

Holder also knows a thing or two about defending
terrorists. After all, he was a senior partner
in a prestigious Washington D.C. law firm
(Covington & Burling) that represented more than
a dozen Yemeni terrorists held at the U.S. military
prison in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. While Holder was
a senior partner the firm employed a number of
radical attorneys to provide the Islamic extremists
with thousands of hours of free legal representation,
according to a news report. (link)

BTW, Holder is yet to release just who and how many
attorneys who have defended moslem terrorist he has
hired into the DOJ or what cases they are handling,
meanwhile defying the US Congress by denying such
information.

Appeasement of islam seems to be the word of the day.

Aiding and abetting islam is closer to the truth.

I mentioned the following in another post but didn't
know this guy is going to be heading up the Gitmo
policy.

Attorney Questions Promotion Of Terrorist Defender To Head Of Gitmo Policy At Justice | Fox News

A former Justice Department attorney who blew the
whistle on his department's policies is now questioning
the promotion of a former defense attorney for an
American terrorist to the No. 3 spot at the Justice
Department -- specifically charged with crafting
U.S. policy on Guantanamo detainees.

J. Christian Adams, once an elections lawyer who
accused the Justice Department of racial bias in its
decision to not prosecute a voter intimidation case
involving the New Black Panther Party, said Tony West's
promotion from assistant attorney general for the Civil
Division to acting associate attorney general is one more
step toward letting radicals run the Justice Department.

West's former law firm also defended other moslem terrorists.

Adams left the DOJ after Holder ordered him to ignore
a congressional request to testify.

Another DOJ attorney was transferred when he objected to dropping charges against the black muslims in Philly.

Was wondering if the K in Koran was intentionally lower cased?

Why would it be otherwise?

There is nothing holy about a book that teaches such hate.

You're kidding right???

That sort of thing goes on all the time in the world of islam.

MEMRI: Armed Libyans Desecrate Christian and Jewish Graves in War Cemetery in Benghazi

Following are excerpts from a report about armed Libyans
desecrating Christian and Jewish graves in a British and
Commonwealth war cemetery in Benghazi. The report was
posted on the Internet on March 1, 2012.

Armed Libyan: Break the cross of these dogs.

BTW, this incident was no accident, the korans had
already been desecrated and the correct way to dispose
of a desecrated koran is to burn it.

(I don't see how anything so unholy could be desecrated
in the first place but that's another story.)

while I don't necessarily agree with the apology it was probably one that needed to be made (and it's his job). We have troops in harm's way and this is a hot-button issue to the citizens of that country. No need to make their job harder or more dangerous is an apology would do the trick

If a Muslim nation came in to occupy America and during the course of their military campaign, they killed a bunch of civilians and then burned some Bibles, but the President, Prime Minister, King of that country didn't acknowledge the Bible burning, whether an accident or not, I'm sure gs and some of the rest of you would go apepoop. But I guess because of our American Exceptionalism, our leader isn't held to the same standard, unless he's a Republican, which then it would be ok. If a Democrat acts like a decent human being and apologizes on behalf of our country for offending the religion and sensibilities of almost everyone in a country, then he made the right decision. I think some of you just pick at every little thing he does for whatever your reasons are for doing that and complain loudly, like the people shouting him down, carrying weapons to his rallies, yelling "you lie" in the Congress, and shoving finger in his face on the tarmac.
