Should Obama kick his own arse?

well for starters spending all the money he did fighting a war to help his dads legacy. watching the market and economy collapse and did nothing and all his lies to the american public alone would make me look the other way. i don't know who will go down as the worst president of all time, obama or W. i still can't believe repubs defend this guy.

please explain specifically how spending money on the war got us where we are today. also pelase explain specifically as to what you would like him to have done when the market tanked. thanks much.

well specifically speaking when you as the american public are lied to so we can start a war that is a badthing. also spending billions of taxpayer dollars on the garbage war hurts our economy at home. he could have ended the war, he could have tried anything. instead he took the approach that he couldn't get another term so who cares. that is the reason his approval rating went in the crapper. say or defend him however much you want, but the man was a terrible president. probably should be in jail. that is the problem i have with repubs they refuse to admit that W was horrible. the difference with me is that i can admit i made a mistake, but the repubs left me not much choice by putting mccain as there choice. i would have probably voted for romney, but mccain sucks.

the democrats have had control of Congress since January of 2007. All appropriations bills come out of the House, if the democrats had wanted to end the wars, they could have simply defunded them. You cannot criticize Bush for war spending without including Congress.

also, there is nothing Bush did that would warrant him being thrown in jail. Impeachment proceedings also begin in the House and it's the Constitutional duty of the Speaker of the House to bring charges against the President. Don't you think Pelosi would have done something if she knew of high crimes and misdemeanors committed by W?

You sound pretty fresh from your collegiate indoctrination. Keep learning, you'll figure things out for yourself eventually. :hi:

then what has W done that warrants him being thrown in jail? Despite the mewling from MSNBC, he didn't rule by fiat, and I don't recall a single, straight party line vote on any piece of legislation during his 8 years in office.

I don't recall him unconstitutionally seizing any private property, either.

educate me. because i can't figure out how spending billions on the military could possibly hurt the economy in a short term time span.

I understand your point, but it seems possible to me. (If you can't tell...I can't stand absolutes... :) )

Let's say that we spend billions to go to war, along with Russia, against Poland. We pay the Russians to produce all of our equipment, provide the rations, etc. We only send career military, etc. Not much of that money is going back into our economy, yet we are collecting it in taxes. It seems like this could hurt the economy. Now...back to reality...

he lied to get us into the war. he should have been hung.

assuming you are correct; what instances of lying by a politician merit hanging?

I'm quite sure every president has lied to the American public - should they all be hung?

Does it matter what you lie about? Where are the rules on this?

he lied to get us into the war. he should have been hung.

It has never even remotely been established that he lied, and not for lack of effort on the part of the statists. If they could have proven it, he would have been impeached, but they couldn't do that. There was a lot of bad intelligence around, but other countries' intelligence was drawing the same conclusions we were on Sadam's nuclear ambitions and available weaponry. There is also the fact that we gave Sadam a whole year to ship all of his stuff over to Syria while we played pattycake with the UN prior to invading.

If lying becomes a hanging offense, we're gonna be needing a whole heap of rope, man.

you keep saying that, but you haven't said what the lie was

I'm pretty sure the lie was what the major media and his liberal professors told him. They must use some pretty good stink bait to get folks to swallow the hook that deeply.
