Should the Senate call witnesses to testify during the impeachment trial?

My understanding is that every past impeachment proceeding held by the Senate has, indeed, called witnesses to testify during their respective trial.

EDIT: 3 witnesses provided depositions for the Clinton trial, but were not called to testify as live witnesses.

Yes, the Senate should call witnesses

I say yes but OP you have your facts wrong. No witnesses testified at the Clinton impeachment trial, 3 provided depositions that were introduced to the Senate.

Which is pretty much the same thing. They can do that this go around if that's the compromise needed.

So has the House. That worked out well.

Are they? So what you're saying is that the testimony and evidence provided to them by the House is insufficient for a conviction?
Every impeachment trial ever.....including the ones run by the senate on judges, has gathered additional information.
I thought you were usually above straight walking the right wing line.

I voted yes on having witnesses. BUT if the House evidence and testimony isn't sufficient enough to garner a conviction should they have impeached?

So did the "leaders" of your party, and that's the problem. It's also why most sane people know this is a partisan sham
So did 50% of America, and that's the problem with Trump. He was known to be pathetic and guilty from the start.

Trump is guilty of doing what he is accused of doing. The GOP is guilty of trying to cover it up and even participating in trump illegal shakedown of a foreign country and a disinformation plot against the American people.

The Biden Hoax is a real hoax orchestrated by team Trump.

Luth you have serious problems to believe the Parnas stuff man. Everybody can see it's BS that is trying to be lumped on the main BS.

Pompeo hasn't refuted anything. My guess is he won't, at least not until he's sure he's not going to be put under oath and have to defend a denial.
