lol: I just can't seem him staying. Either the Dawgs get it done this year or they don't. No reason to stay either way it turns out.
Ironically
Stafford, I think has been quoted as saying he is going to stay for 4.
While Tebow has been quoted as saying he doesnt know yet.
I would have thought it would have been the other way around.
I've told one of my UGA friends that he is projected as the number 1 pick right now, and he keeps saying that he's told Richt he is staying for his SR year. I said, well if someone came throwing you a multimillion dollar contract when you are 21-22, would you stay in school and risk injury, or take the money? He replied, he said he was staying.
I sure hope he stays, because he is a terrible decision maker with a strong arm.
UK is going to land a top 5 QB out of indiana this week. that is more than what we have at that position. even lemming was talking about the vols lack off top recruits this week. he was mostly talking of last year though.
Absolutely not true. When Rodney Garner was at UTK the Vols were cherry picking large areas of Georgia much like Bama has been doing in Tennessee. For most the 1990s and the first couple of years of this decade the Vols lagged only UF, and Bama at times (when not on probation), in terms of player talent. Why do you think UTK was so successful during that stretch? For pretty much the last 20 years UT has lagged behind UGA in recruiting and what has it gotten Georgia? A 5-12 record against UT

that we appear to be heading for another sub par year in recruiting. i was looking at the other sec classes and wow it seems like we are in some real trouble. is anybody else out there worried that we are going to get overtaken by the likes of kentucky.
I would feel a lot better had Chris Donald not gone to Notre Dame, oh wait...
Yeah you started in with this crap two years ago before we landed one of the best classes in school history too.
Yeah... subpar like the last one, right?
GWms- instant contributor
Poole- terribly underrated by every account I've read
A Johnson- impressed the coaches at both FB and LB, will play
Bartholomew- will play
Bailey- apparently should have remained a 4*, has moved into the 2 deep by playing well
Morley- didn't count on ratings but who would take a 5* with experience?
Warren- see above
Waggner- acknowledged by many as underrated and is carving out PT
Lathers- probably a RS but making a positive impression
Thomas- same thing, needs a year of S&C but looks like a player
Abrams-Ward- will probably RS
Bohanon- played his way into the 5th DE slot according to recent comments
Fowlkes- needs to develop physically but the coaches have made positive comments, could see PT
Douglas- I am worried about his injury but he was a highly rated player
Raines/Anderson- both are projects but I've read more positive things about both than I expected
Wilks- moved to LB and looks to have very good potential
Kelly- baseball
The only real problems in the class are potentially Hughes/Walls qualifying and the fact that they didn't fill a significant need- DT. That becomes less of an issue with Herbert and potentially Hicks coming in next year.
If these 2008 guys continue in the direction they're headed then the coaches will deserve a lot of praise for signing a class that was a lot better on green than on white.
Bottom line: the early indications are that the answer to your question is "no". Last year's class isn't looking subpar on the field where it counts. The 09 class is looking good in both quality and on paper... plus they're getting a bunch of smart kids.
Alot of people are overlooking the academics of this class. That helps in several ways. Obviously a smart kid with athleticism has some advantages learning to play the game. They present a lower risk of being academically ineligible... and they don't threaten to cost you scholarships in the future because of the rule revisions.
