Could someone please tell me why you think Jones is just like Dooley? Look, I didn't want Jones just as much as the next guy, but I'm not blind. Jones has been a winner. He's no slam dunk rockstar, but he is a winning coach. That alone separates the two by miles.

Who are these 9 idiots? BJ was no where near my top choice but is a proven winner and still young. DD was a loser who shouldn't have even sniffed the UT job.

Im glad to see everyone is ok with being spoon fed BS from the administration. He raises a critical question that deserves an answer that doesnt bash him. UT football is not profitable like it once was and we just spent money we dont have to hire a coach who has no SEC experience. His recruiting background is more than questionable and my last point( which i understand the transitive property doesnt always apply in football) is that Dooley managed to dismantle a Butch Jones Cincinatti squad two years ago. Say what you will but im slightly worried about our future.

I voted but I don't agree with the OPs opinion that they are equals. They aren't even close coming in. Dooley had 1 winning season out of 3 as a HC, Jones has 5 out of 6 and also has 4 conf championships to boot.
So NO we should not have kept Dooley, he had a losing record coming in and had one the entire time he was here. In 3 years he proved we could hire almost any HC in the FBS ranks and we would've been better off.

Dooley was hired because of his last name imo by Mike Hamilton who happens to be gone for several reasons imo. At least Coach Jones has some kind of credentials .

:crazy:For realz bud? wtf are you smoking? Dooley was as lost as last years Easter egg! Bjones wouldn't have been my pic but I am was in no position to make that decision; the same as your are in no position to pass judgment on a coach who has yet to coach a vol football game.

:)yep a BJ has never been my top choice either but if that is the only thing being offered will take a BJ 9 out of 10 times! :dance2:
