Shout out to Gaston Moore...

Many older Vols remember Daryl Dickey coming in for Tony Robinson at qb and with a terrific defense - the Vols won the SEC and Sugar Bowl. Well Gaston Moore just sealed a big win last week and who knows if like Daryl his years of soaking up the playbook and as a practice player pay off if he gets his chance. I thought Gaston was impressive vs. Mississippi State.

This is exactly the comparison that came to mind for me last night when Moore filled in serviceably for Iamaleava.

Gaston ,good job sir.Agree he could lead this team and we win played smart,as for no runs, ive seen the guy burn it around corner before.Nico not an elite runner either.
No neither are elite runners but lets be honest, Nico is much much more athletic. Gaston isnt a statue either though. Im happy to have both.

Very impressed by him. I was really disappointed with his performance in the Bama game, but he was exceptional tonight. I thought we could be in some real trouble when Nico went down, but Gaston really righted the ship and managed the game well.
He came in cold, in the biggest game of the season. Rough spot to throw a bomb right out the gate.
