Shoutout to Kim English

I like Kim English but is he really the next “big thing”?

He’s done a decent job at Georgia Mason but nothing really spectacular.

Whenever Barnes retires, I think he’d make a good 4th-5th option if our other targets said no. However, I’ve seen nothing indicating he deserves to be our #1 target.

Much like Forbes getting the WF job this is perfect, we won’t have to question it, he will have a chance to prove either way.

The last 2 weeks have almost made me miss us not being great lol, the number of posters coming out of the woodworks talking out of their ass about things they have no clue about is truly impressive lol. Waiting for someone to ask why Pons isn’t playing, or where Zeigler is?

I don’t understand why Grant isn’t getting minutes.

Not at all, I just am gonna call something out when it’s BS…

With that said, English will have to prove a lot both on and off the court to ever be considered for a job here, he left a bad taste in a lot of folks mouth on campus.
Prickly personality? Arrogant? Ungrateful? Disrespectful toward support staff? Or something more egregious that we should steer clear of?

I don’t wanna dive too much into it on here, nothing horrible that would get him into like violations or NCAAT trouble, but don’t think anyone was upset to see him go.

All this massively immature back and forth and nothing of substance really muddy's up the waters here sometimes. SMH....

Well, without knowing what it was, it doesn't sound like he's got much of a future at Tennessee if no one was upset to see him go.

I'm a bit surprised by the hire. He recruited well, no surprise, but his Mason teams weren't anything spectacular in his two seasons. He had a nice run at the end of the season to finish 11-7 in the A10 and had a big win over Dayton, but then got blown out by almost 30 to St. Louis in the conference tournament.
His GM team never beat the Billikens in the 2 years he was HC! Too bad Providence was not interested in taking Ford from SLU!

Not quite, when Kim was hired we were already at the front of Keon’s recruitment and Des Oliver was his lead recruiter.
More than quite… he finished off that recruitment.. he’s the reason we landed him.. you look like and idiot man. Quit while you are ahead.
