Freaks & Geeks and Veronica Mars. I always heard good things about Veronica Mars but stayed away because of the name. I think both shows have turned out to be my favorite of the last 15 years or so.

granted I was two when it went off the air, so I had no choice, but my favorite television show of all time M*A*S*H.

In all honesty though, I can't remember a show I started watching in my adult life from it's inception outside of Deadliest Catch.

Dexter as well. Started watching this past weekend and now about to start the Season 1 finale.

Lost - didn't start watching until it was in season 4 and got caught up in a month.

Lost...I didn't watch a single episode when it was on the air. A year ago, I borrowed all 6 seasons from a buddy. I watched them all over a 3 month period of time. In hindsight, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if I watched it week-by-week.

I'm pretty sure I started Friday Night Lights the day of the series finale. I resisted watching because I figured it to be the cliche teen drama (which season 2 was), but all in all I'd watch it again, great series.

I was still catching up on season 2 while 3 was airing but I was DVRing it and waited until it was over to watch it. Season 4 I started week to week. It was definitely frustrating at times. I want to watch the whole series agilain at some point.

Also Miami Vice. I never understood what all the hype was about in the 80's. But now, the music... And I finally understand Don Johnson...

Probably right...

I watched the first 4 seasons all at once then watched the last few week to week. It was way better all at once.

I agree, I'd rather line the episodes up and knock them out than wait for new ones weekly.
