It just shows how what College Football thinks about the AAC. Paul Palmer on the Temple broadcast said he hoped Temple could go out West and not play in the Arctic Bowl. They mentioned Temple could wind up in the Hawaii Bowl against BYU,Utah State or Boise State.
Exactly. They needed a miracle FG to beat Bowling Green. Memphis got lucky against OM and have been riding the coattail of that win ever since. Best team in Tennessee? Dont think so.
Gotcha. Yeah they'll fall out. Hard to not have them there at 8-0 and a win over a top 25 team, though. They earned what they had but squandered it the last 3.
Take this fwiw, but I have a good friend and former co-worker at First Tenn Bank who is a Memphis booster (Rebounder's Club) who just e-mailed me that Justin Fuente has agreed in principle to be the next coach at Virginia Tech.

Look at their own talent; it's called relativity. They don't have SEC talent beating AAC teams. They have AAC talent beating AAC teams (and an SEC team with multiple NFL talents on the roster).
This argument is so dumb it shouldn't need explaining.
