UGA in the Sugar Bowl isn't THAT big a reach. It's only been the last two years that the loser of the SECCG has received an at-large bid to the BCS, and it only happened in 2008 and 2009 because the SECCG loss was the first of the year for both teams. Every other time, the championship game loser has been leapgfrogged in the bowls by somebody that didn't even play in the game.
If you assume that Alabama will get to the title game, then you're probably assuming that they will beat Florida twice. So that's at least two losses for the Gators. Historically the door would be wide open for them to be jumped by another two-loss SEC team, even one whom they beat. If you think UGA are a significant darkhorse SEC contender, which for some reason a lot of pundits do, then it's a prediction that makes sense.
