Miami is going to be legit this year. Mark it down, they go to a BCS bowl.

All I hope for is that we remain the only school to never have an 8 loss season.

I'm with you. That and that we keep the streak against Kentucky going. I can't make myself care that much about whether we get to play in Shreveport or not.

Well unfortunately there are 2 of us still standing. Ohio state has never had 8 losses either. So I am with you because that would be the other feather in their cap.

UGA in the Sugar Bowl isn't THAT big a reach. It's only been the last two years that the loser of the SECCG has received an at-large bid to the BCS, and it only happened in 2008 and 2009 because the SECCG loss was the first of the year for both teams. Every other time, the championship game loser has been leapgfrogged in the bowls by somebody that didn't even play in the game.

If you assume that Alabama will get to the title game, then you're probably assuming that they will beat Florida twice. So that's at least two losses for the Gators. Historically the door would be wide open for them to be jumped by another two-loss SEC team, even one whom they beat. If you think UGA are a significant darkhorse SEC contender, which for some reason a lot of pundits do, then it's a prediction that makes sense.

Didn't want to start a new thread and it seems like this may fit in here if not posted elsewhere. Did you see Herbstreit predict OU and OSU in the BCS championship game with OSU winning today? I didn't get to see the whole piece. Was he assuming Bama and Florida split their regular season and SEC champ games where they both have one loss and OU and OSU have none...I still think OSU is hosed b/c the Big Ten has no championship game and if the split happens, whichever SEC team wins the second game (SECCG) has the leg up. What happens if the SEC, Big 12, and Big 10 have 3 undefeateds...got to be Big 12 vs. SEC again....not trying to start a playoff discussion and also, some times I love Kirk and think he makes legitimate comments and rationale thoughts and sometimes he's just a straight up OSU homer...

The only prediction I've seen for Kentucky that was that generous. I can see 7-5 at best but just about every game except Florida is winnable for the Cats.

no way two Big 10 teams are in the BCS and not 1 of them in the Rose Bowl. that's just the way the Rose bowl rolls.

If one big 10 team is in the NC game then the rose this year is forced to take the non BCs qualifier
