Look what happened to Florida State's O when he left. He is a good offensive coach. His hires are Fulmeresque.

Winner. He's afraid to hire decent assistants in fear that they will replace him, like Fulmer.

Even when they make the NCG?

Texas should have beaten Bama last year. IMO, they would have with McCoy but the talent on that team was just incredible. Bama shouldn't have been able to move the ball that well against their D.

Doesnt help him that his Defense hasn't looked too great the last couple weeks.

Agree to a point here. All Wilcox and CDD have to do is sell on how if they had that certain player they would be able to "get pressure" and "make those blitzes" and "make those 4th down stops". While on top of that they could sell the kids on how fun Wilcox's D is and how much fun they would have playing in it ie. the blitzes and LB and DE's going into coverage, etc. They can sell a lot on it and quite frankly I think we will be able to get those "players" in and when we do those statements will be facts instead of words. When we get the right athletes and the players Wilcox is going for his D is going to be pretty good.

Muschamp and Smart would not be considered home-run hires at all.
Both are Coordinators with no head coaching experience!
I dont see either being a real draw to the University.

No one knows whether either of them would end up being "home-run" hires or not.

I think Smart would create some excitement around the program at least the first year or two and that would help him recruit very well for a couple of years at Georgia, especially on the defensive side of the ball. I'm not sure Muschamp would create that kind of excitement.

Georgia will get talent no matter who the coach is. Muschamp's Texas defense scares no one. Doesn't really impress with as much talent as they have , it should look like Alabama's defense but it doesn't. I'd be all for that over hyped buffoon getting the job. Kirby Smart and Nick Saban run that Bama defense and i bet it would keep right on being dominate without Kirby. Let them get either one of those guys, it won't change much.

Apparently, both of those coordinators turned down the Vols so in the sense that UGA would have a more sought after head coach than UTK either would be a home-run. Kiffin (damn him) showed us that media buzz = recruiting success. Muschamp or Smart would give UGA plenty of media buzz to get some of the kids who are disenchanted with the stagnation of the Richt regime back on the Dawgs' bandwagon.

So getting back on topic, who are they?

It is not helpful to the staff if you:
1. Know something and leak it
2. Do not know something but are smart enough to guess.

Rumors of guys who another team thinks they are leading for switching to us has bitten us in the butt before.

All I am comfortable saying is that I think we will have a very nice end to the class whether we have 5 or 8 wins.

Factor in the time we offered them the job vs. the offseason when UGA would offer...

They exist. We will be very happy.

We have ZERO shot at a top ranked class, but we should end up around 12 or so which is incredible for a first year coach getting 5-6 wins. We also solve every single problem except DT (which we will move towards solving but may just not get enough to fix the problems).

We have plenty of room. We have so many back ups to our top targets we are still working and not sure of, but we have lots of studs coming in.

If needed we can get more room as we did with Juda.
