Does anyone have a scoop on his leaving Florida State? I think I read on this board he was fired but I can't find anything online explaining why or anything.

Just starting to wonder why we have so many non Tennessee guys running our university....

Harts contract was up and was not renewed. He was the fall guy after the football cheating scandal.

I heard from my cousins ex wife who was 3rd cousins with a guy who owned a dog named spot, that was purchased from a guy who wore a Florida st hat and he said. Hart told all the little kids in Florida Santa was not real, that he was the tooth fairy. So take it for what it's worth......... But seriously can we stop all the stupid **** about firing hart and how bad he is and how dare he not get gruden. He is out interviewing quality coaches and if and when he talks Fisher or Tressel or another coach into coming be thankful. Until we interview the Wyoming or the Akron coach then you can start to worry.

So is Hart an Alabama guy or a Florida State guy? Because if he's an Alabama guy (where he graduated from in 1971) then why did he do such a good job at Florida State? Bobby Bowden called him one of the best and sharpest Athletic Directors he had been around in 57-years of coaching. Did he try and undermine their program? And if he's a Florida State guy, why did he do such a good job at Alabama? Was he secretly trying to destroy Bama for FSU?

And you know, his son is the Athletic Director at UT Chattanooga...WHAT IF HE'S SECRETLY TRYING TO DESTROY TENNESSEE AND MAKE CHATTANOOGA THE TOP PROGRAM IN THE STATE!!!

This conspiracy theory stuff is exhausting. He's a good, strong professional doing his absolute best for the University of Tennessee. Stop it.

Well I'm not talking about coaches though its interesting you assume that...I'm talking more ADs and Presidents. Is Florida and Bama hiring Tennessee guys to run their programs? Just wondering...,

If our school continues getting better academics, they might, but most around here are against that as well.

If you look at number 22-25 in the rankings and then look at the teams that are not ranked such as: Tennessee, Arkansas, Auburn, Miami, then you can get an idea of how far things have gone bad...Tennessee right now is not much better than a Conference USA, WAC, MWC, MAC or Big East team...it is very discouraging...

So what you r saying is that he forced Dooley to throw the Mizzou game game cause he grew up a fan while his dad was the AD there???? Thank goodness we didn't play Louisville this yr cause of his allegiance to them too due to his dad.

Maybe he figured a way to throw the Ark game last yr cause they were an old SW conference team and he wanted to honor his dad for his time as the conference prez.

Man I agree we r being duped by this guy!!!

Im not thrilled with a Bama guy at UT but these are businessmen first and foremost. If they put school ties ahead of business in their life they would never get to the level of being an AD.
