They did some scenes at the city hall one day and changed all the signs on the building from Carolina Beach to Virginia Beach. They didn't change them back right away. I drove by there not knowing that they had been filming there, saw the signs and for a second thought I had lost my mind before I realized what had happened.

As someone who does live in Va Beach, would be interesting to see what a mock tv version looks like.

I met a SEAL like the one Groggins played..he was sighting his M4 on a Third Country National (TCN)..being the friendly USAF guy that I was I volunteered to relieve him of guard duty.

I'll have to catch up. All I've seen is the first episode but I assume I can catch up online somewhere.

So I love Goggins but this show got horrible reviews that is was cliche ridden and unoriginal. Can someone tell me if its worth watching and why?

I'm honestly not sure how it couldn't be cliche ridden, given the type of reviews that normally say that. (I think a certain segment of critics will always pan this type of show based on political ideals unless they throw in certain "twists" but I won't go down that rabbit hole).

It's one of those shows you pretty much know what you're getting once you have the most basic intro possible. Americans are good with rough edges, terrorists are different grades of bad with some humanizing elements.

I loved the series. I thought it was well cast, well acted, and I thought it was authentic (meaning I appreciate it looked like they had good consultants rather than just guessing what teams like this use, look, and act like). It's not an absolute mind blowing, thinking type of series with twists and turns... But it's 8 good, interesting episodes with great action sequences.

Problems? It drags where you can sort of tell they stretched 6 into 8, but it seems like every series has that problem. The surrounding cast of family can be weak at times. Though necessary I guess, some of the home front story lines are pointless but don't really get in the way.

I'd definitely give it a shot. Only an 8 episode commitment anyway.

Excellent post ill check it out for goggins if anything. His role in vice principals is a tour de force!

As far as war shows go, nothing beats generation kill.

Can one of you guys that have seen the end, spoiler tag and tell me what happens please? I'm not a suspense guy. I want to know before I waste anymore time watching it. I despise crappy endings.

Considering it is about the armed forces I would take the people reviewing it bad as a grain of salt. To many people playing the political game.

This is me and the wifes favorite show.

Production is set to begin this summer.

Well technically it ends in a cliffhanger but here you go. A few details of the finale!

Rip & the girls are found & freed by the team. Nasry is captured as well.

A few days later the team is holding a BBQ "Welcome Back Rip" party. He doesn't feel in the mood so instead of going inside he drives away. A few minutes later we see Rip on pier drinking a beer (its dark and appears to be late as their isn't anyone around) some teenage girl is coming up to him and says "it's you?" or something like that and "can I have a pic?" (She has her phone out and there is a light behind her so Rip is squinting to then gun shots. The girl has shot Rip (several times) she goes back to her car and appears to upload the video she was filming the whole time to Youtube or something and she calls someone asking who is next? We see Rip laying on the pier bleeding as the screen goes to black.

Muchos gracias amigo. That is a bummer, but I guess I might as well watch the rest. I hope Rip isn't dead though. That's a cheap way to go after all that.

I didn't think that was leading into next season. Maybe it is. I thought it was just wrapping all the ends up from this season. She was the girl that was being recruited earlier in the series wasn't she? Just when we think rip has has made it out ok, he still faces repercussions from his decision to shoot the kid put that were put in motion by his brother.

I hated the way this ended. Should have just killed Rip off in the act of saving those girls. That's a real cheap way to go out. But I loved it up till the ending. I would have hated seeing him kill himself too.

I think it was brilliant. Could be setting up a season two of Nasry calling the shots still with his army of recruits.

Or it tied a nice bow on a very poor decision. We all have to pay at some point.

I don't think he is dead. I think this re energizes him. He will be back to fight.
