What's the point of being outraged over a tabloid article? The team had it on their practice facility and seemed to be fine with it. It will definitely raise some eyebrows in that country

The World Cup should never have been awarded to Qatar. And every decent civilized nation should have boycotted after the Qataris used foreign slave labor to build their facilities, ultimately killing almost as many people as 9/11.

But, since they're going to be there, I'm all for the USMNT taking a stand and shoving in the face of those fundie douchebags.

It’s not just Qatar. There’s plenty of “affluent” middle eastern countries that outsource the so called “slave labor” and we never have a problem with it.

We shouldn't be playing there to begin with if the USMNT wants to be serious about supporting gay rights; in Qatar, male homosexuality is punishable by a minimum of three years in prison. If one is a gay Muslim man, it is the death penalty under Sharia law.
