This might be him signaling that he's good enough to play for UGA and that he's about to enter the portal.

UT better get him a chunk of that NIL money very soon.

Why is this even news. He drove over a median? Ok. I did the same thing last week. Nobody cares
Yeah, in my book that’s not reckless…just sometimes necessary. Nothing to see here. It’ll be reduced to some other minor traffic infraction.

Honestly stuff like this keeps some top recruits away. Why go to a school where the local police and media are just waiting to throw you under the bus when you can go to Bama or LSU where the media and police ignore minor and sometimes major offenses. Bama’s star basketball player was directly involved with someone getting shot and killed and he got a slap on the wrist from local prosecutors.

This is a misdemeanor. It was 1am. He probably turned across the median into some all night or late night place on the strip. It's reported. It disappears. It's hardly a recruiting issue.

The news nor the cops are "out to get" UT athletes.

The news needs the clicks and sales and would report anything they think helps their business because that's their job.

The cops don't know who the bonehead was who turned across the median when they flip their lights on.

Here's an idea: stop doing boneheaded moves like turning across the median at 1am or driving high at 3am like Salter did before he left or driving like killer fools like those GA athletes..... and you won't end up in the paper.

The article's half right. Reckless driving is a misdemeanor, improper lane change is not.

And, yeah, a misdemeanor is more serious than a traffic offense, can get up to 6 months in jail and $500 fine.
