So would Uta...oh...

come on now, that was a fluke. Bama would wipe their asses with a team like utah this year. I know a girl that lives in New Orleans that partied with alot of the players and everyone got messed up the night before the game, not making excuses for them but just saying.. clearly they weren't very focused

^ Everybody was saying the same thing about Bama this time last year, too. If you can't get up for a damn BCS bowl, that's on you.

Saying the best mid-major programs in the country can't hang with the best of them is simply false.

I never said mid majors couldn't hang with the best teams. I just said and meant if boise st is gonna be #5 then should probably play some tougher opponents than:

Oregon W 19-8
Sep. 12 Miami-OH W 48-0
Sep. 18 at Fresno State W 51-34
Sep. 26 at Bowling Green W 49-14
Oct. 3 UC Davis W 34-16
Oct. 14 at Tulsa W 28-21
Oct. 24 at Hawaii 9:05pm
Oct. 31 San Jose St. 1:00pm
Nov. 6 at Louisiana Tech TBA
Nov. 14 Idaho 1:00pm
Nov. 20 at Utah State 7:30pm
Nov. 27 Nevada TBA
Dec. 5 New Mexico St. 1:00pm

Only "tough" game on their entire schedule is Oregon. Most of the rest are creampuffs. Give me a break. UT could probably go undefeated with this schedule too and thats not sayin much

No one's saying the good mid-majors can't hang with good BCS teams for one game. They're saying they can't play at that level all year. Any Boise St or Utah team in the last 5 years wouldn't have been close to undefeated playing in a BCS conference.
