I guess Cuonzo is a happy man tonight. He just took a team that was picked to finish towards the bottom of the SEC and took Barnes and the Vols who were picked to win the SEC ( which isn’t going to happen now) to the woodshed. Not sure what has happened to this team but the energy season energy has completely disappeared. No leadership, no rythym on offense and no hustle on defense. We haven’t had a lead in the last 80 minutes of our games. Are so is making $5M a year so I have faith he’ll get it figured out.

So you’re going to completely ignore Barnes whipping him at Missouri? Lol

It's two games, and we are definitely missing Springer, so I'm trying not to overreact... But, I think it's reasonable to be concerned. We've become a turnover machine, the little post presence we had with Fulky has disappeared, we're giving up too many Offensive rebounds, Vescovi looks to be a liability at PG (and there's no great second option), and we're letting teams get way to comfortable shooting the ball.

Uh. We took them to the woodshed at their place. They just beat us at ours.

You're absolutely right. I watched the postgame remarks with the player of the game, Xavier Pinson. He said, “UT whipped us at our place, and Cuonzo told us that we’re going to do whatever it takes to out-tough Tennessee tonight.” And MIZZOU did just that. Tennessee played badminton at the 3 point line all night. No one took it to the hole because they were scared to.

It’s OK Mizzou won’t do anything of note this season. Their ceiling is dictated by their coach. I’ll hold out a sliver of hope for us if we get healthy

Year 6 should not be this painful. I think we turn this around to some degree. Roster is really down. Vescovi had no sub to give him some rest and coaching. several No power 5 players on roster.

Hard to say this but I’m Not sure we finish above .500 in the SEC this year.
You had me up until this post. This is an emotional overreaction. Every point you have made is accurate. Tennessee has been atrocious with the ball. Missouri did a lot of copy cat things that Alabama and Florida did... and they worked. Barnes needs to make some serious adjustments. To use a baseball analogy, opposing teams have figured out how to hit our stuff and we are playing with no confidence on offense.

... and not to make excuses, but they were without Springer again. There is no way to know what a difference he would have made but he did have 13 points and 4 rebounds in the game at Missouri on December 30th.

We could use a 7-10 day “Covid outbreak” right now. We have multiple starters trying to play through injuries. A chance to rest and get healthy would do wonders for this team.

Oh man so 2 weeks? That’s like an entire season right? Good God our fan base is retarded.
Yep, and it's really obvious how smart you are. Why don't you just stick to the point in your comments? I'm pretty sure there are several posters on here with higher IQ's than yours. Retarded? (Wanna compare IQ tests?)

Bring back Butch and Cuonzo..... Meanwhile, are we trying to position ourselves for a seed or just getting whipped?

this sounds trite but when we’re at our best it’s because the sum is greater than the parts. Vescovi, fulky, pons... we are absolutely not going to win when these guys are in isolation trying to score on their own. We have to have better offensive schemes to play to each of their strengths.
