I’m a life long 55 year VOL fan. I am also a realist when it comes to sports. This Tennessee team looks much better when they wear the orange and white. The black or smoky grey looks like a Halloween costume. I don’t think many life long Tennessee fans are supporting the gimmick uniforms.
UT have just very won against PITT and Florida game. UT does not need gimmicks to win. They have great players and I like the coaches.
They with the orange and white with all the traditions that all the past great players wore.

I am glad they are wearing them for an away game.
Maybe that will satisfy the “ fashion fans “ for awhile.
If we lose, burn them and never wear anything but

Nah I agree with you, but whatever gets the players hyped and ready to play, the recruits also love them. But trust me I am a firm believer in traditional jerseys vs Florida and bama. Those matchups mean to much to stray away from tradition

I'm not a fan of alternate uniforms, but if they have to have them I wish it would only be for non-conference games. Alabama and Penn State never wear alternates because their colors are iconic and part of what they are. I see UT in the same way, and orange/white is iconic and a big part of our identity. Leave the gimmicky alternates for schools without an identity who need them.

That's entirely possible but during the Saban run that has for the most part not been a thing. Look don't get me wrong I like the alternative jerseys but I prefer the orange and white and it's not even close

Never been too big a fan of smokey grays on big games, especially away. Color scheme too different, maybe helps hide some defensive movement, but may just confuse the offense. Hooker already has accuracy issues, throwing to bright Orange , how about smokey gray. As well, I have concerns about the heat and humidity, me thinks, leave em at home.

But overall, I love the look, just save em for Tenn.-Martin, when something different would be appreciated.

My only complaint about the SM....well 2 complaints.

1) Lose the checkerboard stuff on the helmet stripe and pants stripes, go double stripes on the pants to match the other uniforms. The checkerboard stuff reminds me of Butch.

2) Lose the darker grey on the shoulders, the two tone gray looks odd.
