You kicked a damn soccer ball in Neyland Stadium? Thats blasphemy.

so was when they let Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 do a concert in the stadium but they did it.

I was playing soccer at the time and thought it would be fun to do. If you had heard the echo when the ball was kicked, you'd understand a bit more.

also snuck into Neyland in the daytime and got stoned as a begeesus. The it dawned on us that it was dinner time at Sophie's. Sneeking back out was rough, though.

I've got 2 sneak ins on my resume. Both were extremely cool.

(Redskins Park and then RFK).

would have been nice to see that place in the football setup. i went to a nats game when they were playing there for a couple of years. definitely not a great setup for that!

Back in 82, I snuck into Neyland with a few other buddies. It was actually easy in those days as there was a simple chain length fence to crawl around. When we got in there, it was totally different. No noise, no lights. I took a soccer ball with me and kicked it. The echo off the walls and metal seats sounded like a shotgun going off.

Chain length fence?

It was a short chain. That's why he went around instead of climbing or crawling under.

I went to Kinko's and printed out 10 power Ts. I'm going to try and sneak back in, put them at center court, and take a picture.

Now that's more like it. I thought there for a minute you were being weird.

If you snuck into Rupp, you should have performed some kind of hex on the place.

I've been in several arenas when they were empty over the years; the only one that really impressed me was Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Dean Smith Center, when empty, is like a mausoleum. Of course, sometimes it's that way even when occupied.

If I were in Lexington, I think I'd rather sneak into Memorial Coliseum than I would Rupp. There's so much more history in that building.
