So are we a 1 seed in the NIT?

As I recall, the last time we hosted an NIT game, the attendance was well under 10,000. I'd be surprised if we exceed that.

Buzz Peterson was also our coach. And that year thanks to Jim harrick and the Georgia scandal we had an even better shot at NCAA birth and blew it in typical Buzz fashion.

Considering location, facilities, fanbase. 2nd Seed SEc, very good chance of getting a #1.
Alabama had second best record in SEC last year and got a #1 with a terrible non-conference schedule.
They won more games but finished the season 4-6.
TN has a much better resume.

i'll be there to say thank you. not a great year but far better than what i expected. be glad to take any bets that we have at least 17,000. this is a great opportunity for extra work toward next year. we should embrace it. i would much rather win 2-3 games in the nit than be one and done in the ncaa.... imo

He's a freaking UK fan what do you expect.

Hell act like he cheers for UT, then goes out and says anti UT things.

Like saying we're most likely a 3 seed in NIT, yet nothing supports his opinion. Or saying Tennessee has NO SHOT ata NCAA bid, when they clearly do have chance.

Well, I'm as big a UT fan as any, and I said 2 or 3. Fandom has nothing to do with it. It's an opinion. We could both be wrong too, but there is still a lot to happen before those determinations are set. The more upsets there are today, the further down the rung we go, and vice versa.

It's the "most likely 3" that's a bigger deal than the "2 or 3." The two seed is probably the most likely result, although I would not be at all surprised with a one. A three is possible, but neither of the NIT bracket projectors have us as a three seed, and it's really hard to find eight non-tournament teams with better resumes than us (unless the NIT heavily weights RPI).

I get it. I agree, most likely a 2 in my opinion as well. A 1 seed wouldn't shock me either. A lot is still to be determined.
