goes 9-3 with Heisman Trophy winning QB Jayden Daniels. Wow, Peyton couldn't win because he failed to win against Florida. 9-3 only one win better than the Vols. What does Kelly do with a lesser QB. How long a leash does he get at LSU.

His defense was terrible and in their three big games they lost to Bama, FSU and Ole Miss primarily because of their crappy defense. Jayden put up the video game numbers and that’s why he won the Heisman. Personally I would’ve voted for Penix he put up equally good numbers led the country in passing yards and has his team undefeated and in the playoff.

It just got longer tonight...unless he can't keep his hands off Co-Eds...Like Coach O...who didn't make it 18 months following a Natty...

He won the west last year. He has a long leash. Unless he starts trying to nail boosters wives

He’s 19-7 in two years there. He won the west in his first season. That’s not too bad considering the dumpster fire that he took over. His leash is rather long at the moment.

Yea but eventually he’s going to have to win the national title unlike us that’s the expectation at LSU now. Saban won one there in 2003 then Les in 2007 and then Coach O in 2019.

Didn't verify the data or anything, but saw a post a few days ago that listed the now Heisman winners stats against various teams. Basically lhe ran up his numbers against pretty bad teams and was about average against the better teams.

Methinks with an average to even above average QB a 7-5 or 8-4 season or two and his seat warms quickly. Only 9-3 with a Heisman winner. And with Texas/Oklahoma joining the SEC, 7-5 with average QB may be hard to achieve. We will see.

With a Heisman-winning QB, LSU only managed to beat one ranked opponent. I think Kelly has plenty of leash after winning the west last year, but I don’t see him doing much with it.

Kelly doesn't seem to have the Ogre's personal shortcomings, but he can ask Les Miles how far he can go with 9 win seasons.
... and Les won a Natty.

The team was loaded with talent that he took over. The previous coach was the dumpster fire at LSU, not the whole team.

LSU had 37 scholarship players when he took over and only played the 2022 season with a little over 70. So yes it was a dumpster fire.

Wow, our coach was 18-8 in the same time frame with essentially zero scholarship players, a true dumpster fire, and some UT "fans" are looking for his replacement.
I don’t know what Heupel has to do with this conversation, but yes he took over a dumpster fire as well.

FSU: 346 passing yards, 64 rushing yards

Bama: 219 passing yards, 163 rushing yards

Ole Miss: 414 passing yards, 99 rushing yards

Mizzou: 259 passing yards, 130 yards rushing

Thats an average of 310 yards passing and 115 yards rushing against 4 top 12 teams. Tell us again how he feasted off the bad teams.
