So can somebody tell me the real reason we are 15-10

Is our roster weak? Has Bruce lost the team before the season started? Are we getting bad calls. The big question I've been asking myself is even if the ncaa distraction never happened would we just be having a bad season out of 6 years and this was gonna be that bad year? I really can't put my finger on this season.

I think it boils down to two reasons: we lack players with basketball skills and a winning mentality. We lack guys with really solid abilities to dribble, shoot and pass at an instictive level like Lofton, Bradshaw (other than shooting), Smith and others did. Plus, I think the players don't have that mentality of being winners or the collective calmness to make good decisions at the end. I see panic at the end of games, which I didn't see in prior seasons.

1) Inconsistent free throw shooting.
2) Abysmal field goal shooting.
3) Lack of senior leadership.
4) Porous defense.
5) Poor decision-making.
6) Bruce gone for eight SEC games.

First, make no mistake, I'm a Bruce Pearl fan. What I really have a hard time trying to understand is how did we go from beating Nova and Pitt to where we are now.
I don't get it. Feels like something hiding in the bushes you just can't quite make out. Well...what about it?

Weakest bench of the Pearl era. Substituting patterns are awful , have been all year. They have no point guard and no center. This team also apparently learns nothing in practice. They continue to get get beat in the same ways, mostly because of their own incompetence every game.

I think its all the things that we have had to deal with this year. the way this team has had to deal with the coaching changes really four times they had CBP then CTJ then back to CBP for one game and now back to CBP and all the media it has effected us as fans so it has be be hard in the kids! I am a VOL no matter what, I can remember when we were happy to make the NIT! the lean years, so lets back our team and remember we are TENNESSEE!

What. When your point guard play is not good. You are not going to be very good. We (UT) do not have good point guard play. Period. If things does not change, we will win a couple in the SEC tourny and one maybe two in the NCAA

A pg that has 0 assists in 31 minutes of action and has the ball in his hands, up 1, with no shot clock, yet throws it to Cam, who shouldn't have been on the floor last night in the 2nd half. That epitomizes the season to me.

That stat is almost beyond comprehension for any position, much less your PG. Its like your QB going through the third without either a pass attempt or making a single handoff.

I'd bet that you could take any able-bodied person out of the crowd, give them 30 minutes on the floor and they'd register an assist. Not a ddubt in my mind.

Exactly. We score led by Hobson, Offensive rebounds, some fast break points, and 5-6 in the panit plays. Thats weak as well.

I had a Ky fan say that their season is over because they haven't improved all yr. They are playing the exact same way now that they did in Oct. So you can't expect a team like that to get hot. Our Vols are the same way. We know we can beat any team on any given night. But we haven't improved to get on a roll. i actually think we are getting worse.

Tennessee is 15-10 because of an absolute abomination against Charlotte and poor performances against Arkansas, USC, Charleston, Oakland, and Bama (w/o Hopson.) Tennessee isn't good enough to run the schedule against the good teams they play, but they should have at least 4 wins over teams that they are 0-6 against.

Refs and NCAA against us? You forgot ESPN as well, heck, it was actually Erin Andrews making that the last shot for Florida.

The refs work both ways, you get calls (ga game since you will ask, that was textbook over the back) and you lose calls.

The reason for 15-10 is simple, toughest schedule in the country.

Uhhh I dunno bout all that bro. I'm sure there would be another win or two on the record, but I dunno about undefeated.
