im going to reserve judgment until after our next home game. if we win vs sc at home and then beat fl on the road we can start talking about us making a little run, but im waiting until after florida before i say anything about any of this.
Not to offend - but you might as well say something because this team will not beat Florida on the road. Possibly our least likely victory among the remaining 8 games.
Haha alright I'll speak. Basically I feel we have to win out win sec play OR lose one and make a run in the tournament. We are 11-12(3-5) we have to be sitting at about 20-13 to be a bubble tean IMO. So either go 8-0 down the stretch and win 1 sec T game, or go 7-1 and win 2 sec T games.
That's why I said I'll wait till after Florida, if they can bring it against Florida ON THE ROAD, things will look better. Another no show on the road and we have no chance except a sec T.
This team is lost outside of TBA. That being said, this team concerns anyone they play given it has taken some of the best teams in college basketball to the brink while at the same time played down to some of the worst.
Bubble? We're not going to be a fizzle team team much less on the bubble this year.Haha alright I'll speak. We're going to finish at best 9th in the SEC.
We'll have to struggle to get to the NIT.
If we win all of our home games and win one, yes one away game, we will have 18 wins and should be a bubble team. With a win or two in the S.E.C. tourney and our two quality wins against Florida & UConn, we should get in the NCAA. We may end up being "one and done" but at least we got in.
Key to it is winning an away game and all of our home games.
It would help if the Vols would start making some shots on the road. Any night where the Vols shoot less than 35% from the field and they don't get to the line half as much as their opponent does then they won't win, and that's what has been happening on the road.
I don't know why our guys can't make shots on the road. The only one who stepped up was Swiper Boy at KY.
Can't even hit free throws. We could have easily beaten GA on the road if we could make shots. If we could have hit just one more free throw, we wouldn't have gone into OT. The FT shooting was terrible in that game.
If anybody can find some shots, we could easily win a couple on the road. Of course, we have to find a way to win the rest at home. Not at all guaranteed.
