''Dobbs, who will also play baseball at Tennessee, will get to Knoxville this summer and immediately insert himself into a quarterback competition after Tyler Bray decided to leave early for the NFL Draft.''

I remember an interview on The Sports Animal after signing day where he said he was thinking about playing baseball. But the decision was still up in the air. That would be awesome. Evedently he's a stud baseball player as well.

Let's see, he wants to major in aerospace engineering and be the starting quarterback and shortstop for Tennessee. We'll see how long that lasts.

Guy at UT named Helton did something like that. Not Engr though

Guy named Widby played football, basketball, and baseball. He's now a golf pro.

Oh, and he was an All-American in basketball and then played for the Dallas Cowboys.

If you think he's the future at QB, then it's the furthest thing from awesome...

Also, the Clarence Brown Theater was a big plus in his recruitment, because he is an aspiring Shakespearean actor. He was basically promised a production of Othello.

Also a guy named Bo Jackson did it. Not sure he went to class though! Glad Dobbs is a Vol, smart and an athlete!

If Bo got an aerospace engineering degree, Kate Upton needs to roll over because my arm is falling asleep.

This. As an engineer I can vouch that regardless of how smart you are, engineering requires a boatload of TIME. I hope he can do it but I can't see how unless he does like I did and never sleeps lol.

As a current engineering student...I don't see how 2 sports would be possible, but there is always an exception..

Agreed. People don't understand that an engineering degree(especially as a freshman) requires so much more work out of class than pretty much any other field. A friend of mine is an engineering student and also plays football and he barely has any free time. Throwing baseball into that mix would leave you literally occupied 24/7. Dobbs would most likely get behind somewhere or get burnt out.

My post had baseball all over it and didn't mention a damn thing about football. With that being said, yes I think he could be a really good QB as well. No? Care to explain your redneck dikheadish comment?

He lettered in golf at UT too, making him a four sport letter-man . He was also an All American in football as well as basketball his senior year
