100% Secure EVERYBODIES mind that Heupel is a Generational Head Coach that Tennessee is fortunate to have (ESPECIALLY after the last 20 years of UT Drama) and MUST keep as LONG as possible...even MORE SO than the Alabama Win from Year 2...??

I say UNEQUIVICALLY YES...as it was the 2022 Florida Win that FINALLY put my brain on the Heup-Train. (*I was NOT sold till the Florida Game in '22)

Meanwhile, UGA & Bama Games this year going EITHER way, would not even secure him any more than a W Saturday Night will....I say again YES!

*what say you?

EDIT after reading replies below:

My point actually IS...Hooker who was elite & 4 other valuable Draft Picks are gone...along with UDFAs that made NFL Rosters...

And Heupel marches into Gainesville with Joe Milton...and cleans Florida's Clock...even by 1 point...then HE is Tennessee for as LONG as he wants to be/we can keep him.

*barring his coughing-crack cocaine habit alluded to out of left field...he AIN'T Sarkisian...gonna show up under the influence on next year's Big Orange Caravan...

He's great. Tennessee is lucky to have him. There's no doubt about that. Tennessee is advantaged by the NIL era, and so you'd expect to have a bunch of good teams. However, there's nothing any of us can do to control any of it. Ordinarily I'd say you can give money, but I swear, that only gives you a little bit of an edge. Butch Jones made 4 million a year.

One game doesn’t determine if a coach is a generational coach or not. I think that will be determined by his record over the next 3 years. We need to see if the success from the last 2 years was due to Hooker being elite and Heupel riding his coattails, or if it’s like Fulmer where Golesh was his Cutcliff and he struggles without him. This season matters, but the talent he is able to bring in and the development of Nico are more important in the grand scheme of things.

He's a great coach without a doubt in my mind. However, winning over the dumpster fire in UF right isn't going to cement that for most IMO. I think the concern for some people right now is #7 but I'm hopeful he can ball out Saturday.

its such a strange way to look at things.
He could win this game, and things still go off the rails. Hell, he could win the first 10 games this season but all the while be nursing a budding drug habit that he loses control of and end up nosediving the rest of his career.

generational coaches are something that become evident after a sufficient body of work exists, and at the university of tennessee the requirement for that includes winning the SEC and competing for national titles.

We wont know til we know

Your prose style is very similar to the Zodiac Killer.

If he wins Saturday he will be the greatest coach ever, if he loses (or does not win by enough) some on here will want him gone.

Heupel is the guy running the offense. I’m sure he and hazle are talking the entire game. Hooker was great, but hookers not the one who schemed all the open receivers. It’s pretty much known heupel is one of the best play callers in the sport right now. Having a great qb helps out a ton but every good team has a good qb. We as fans know what he can do, we just can’t overreact if we have down years, especially when we’re trying to replace a guy who should’ve been a heisman finalist.

Look at Heupel’s record at head coach and he always has an outstanding QB. If Milton doesn’t cut it, Heupel will play someone who can. He will always put points on the board and win lots of football games for Tennessee.

Heupel is all about breaking streaks and records, I feel he will go into the Swamp and secure a solid victory. Defense is better than last year, skill players are not as sharp as Hyatt or Tillman but there is significant talent there. The running game is really good. Milton needs to hit receivers in stride and play a great game. Florida is very beatable this year, Vols just dont need to beat themselves.

I just recently realized that they solved that case.

I hoped he would be fired 3 years before that, but some at UT are S-L-O-W learners. That's where politicians come in, when everyone else in the general public already knows the answer.
Let me rephrase what I said- There was a point where here I thought CPF would never be fired.

If CJH has anywhere near the amount of success Fulmer had, I will be thrilled, but I no longer believe Tennessee will never fire a coach based on past accomplishments.

It would be interesting if Saban had a few bad years to see the bamers go nuts and call for him to be fired.

That’s just another suspect that former FBI dudes claim to solve in their free time. It’s not the first time it’s been solved and probably not the last
